Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

Just so y'all know the Ohana's said they were mooning people as they passed them in the miles.

For the week ending March 6

6.5 hours, 24.32 miles total (swim, bike & run). Didn't get much extra core work in this past week.

Yesterday did a 5k charity fun run to raise money for the family of a local high school soccer coach who died recently of cancer. Lots of people out there for the race. Since it was a fun run it was unofficial, but I did the 5k in 23:47! I haven't been that fast in a long time.

Good morning Triple D's!

The spreadsheet has been updated.

Whew, good thing you got it updated just so I could come along and mess it up. Thanks!

Sorry not to get my numbers to you sooner but, horror of horrors, the storms this weekend knocked out our electricity for a bit, and even worse, our cable! It was so sad -- the power came back on and I found my dh and 2 sons staring at static on the television, waiting hopefully for espn to appear. Pathetic, really. But no worse than me, constantly hitting the refresh button hoping against hope to get onto the internet.

Anyway, it wasn't the best of weeks, it wasn;t the worst of weeks. I started off strong, but then rain and wind convinced me to sit on the couch with a bowl of popcorn for the weekend. Ooops. Here are my numbers:

18.8 miles, 12.5 hours

Okay, off to catch up and maybe do something that resembles exercise today! Hope everyone else has a good week, and that this one is off to a great start!

See how you are. :rotfl: The spreadsheet is updated. AGAIN! ;) :)

I can relate about the cable. After hurricane Ivan we were without electricity for 5 days. Once that was taken care of, it was another 3 before we got our cable back. If things weren't stressful enough, but no TVor Internet? MAN! :lmao:

And here is the slow poke to mess everything up again. I appologize for not reporting earlier - my lazy butt just didn't feel like it - sorry.

I have a very slow week as far as training - 6.1 miles and 141 mins

Sorry again

You know this goes in my report to Spreadsheet Panda. ;) :lmao:

I can't relate to that because when Ivan came thru, I was at WDW on vacation with the family. My brother and his family was back home scared to death that they were about to die. Of course nothing happened but I was having a great time at EPCOT while they were freaking out.

Otherwise, had a great weekend. I already have 32 miles worth of cardio and over 3 hours of time. I will be heading back over to the gym in just about 30 minutes to do some more. Hopefully, I will be able to put up some BIG numbers this week. I want to break my record from last week. I will let you know.

Let's go team!

Bryan

I'm sending you guys a pretty princess from Virginia Beach, please welcome your new team mate, AmayCatBaker.

Don't tell her about the darn voices you hear Bill!

Welcome AmayCatBaker! :goodvibes

Hey team! I hope everyone is having a great week! I'm trying to do a bit better this week... ;) So far I have a 3K, 5 miles of walking, and did 7.6 miles on the bike tonight. Tomorrow is supposed to be a swim day - yea!

Keep up the great work!!! :thumbsup2

AmayCatBaker..... Welcome to the Triple D's....glad to have you join us.:cheer2:

AmayCatBaker:welcome: :cheer2: :woohoo: Welcome to the team! We have a great bunch here and I know that we all look forward to getting to know you.

Back from the gym. I did another 3 hour workout and actually still feel good. I was able to do 28 miles on the bike and 45 minutes on my chest and abs. This already gives me 60 miles for the week. I am still going to be doing a lot of bike to get the extra miles but I am going to also try to average 4-5 miles a day on the elliptical or treadmill to change it up a little. I can't add swimming to the list as I can't swim. (A little background story that I didn't share during the beginning. When I was 5, I almost drowned while I was at Gulf Shores, AL in the Beach. Now, I can't handle having water above my head so the water is out for me. I love sitting in the pool but that's it. One side effect from that incident, I lost my hearing in my left ear. Do you have any idea what it is like to have no idea what stereo sounds like and I love music? )

More updates coming up later! Have a great week team! Let's make up some of that ground to O'hana this week.

Bryan

Welcome, AmayCatBaker!
Have fun with this!!

Sorry, team, that I was gone all weekend and didn't do any training...will ramp it up this week. And not just for y'all, but also because I HAVE to! First triathlon of the season is in less than 3 weeks! :cool1:

Big Vic...our total on the Team 1 spreadsheet doesn't match the total on the overall Team Totals spreadsheet. I think someone's miles got added to OUR list, but not on the overall list.

I joined a running club. This morning I ran 5.31 miles in 53 minutes. It's nice to run with a group...my iPod is good company (listening to Disney Podcasts)but real people are better!

WTG - I only dream of running that fast!:cheer2:

Good morning Dashboards, Dashounds, Dashing through the snow.....

I have another new player for you, please welcome Tia form AL. I think some of you guys are fairly close to her. She goes by HookdonWDW, which I totally understand.

Tia, these are good guys and pretty princesses on here so have fun but don't pick up any bad habits like laughing to much or over indulging.

Hi all! I'm glad to be on here... now to clear up a couple of things that I confused Dave about ... I'm currently in AL, but we're in the process of moving back to New England, and will be in CT by summer. So I'll no longer be a Yankee living in a Southern Belle world! Also, TIA was short for "Thank in Advance". Although it's a lovely name (I actually know a Tia), my name is much more boring... I'm one of a million "Lisa's" out there.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and to getting the motivation to keep moving on a consistent basis. I've lost over 100 pounds (about 135 or so) in the past 2 years, and I'm now that I have the nutrition issues down, I'm trying to get back back on track with exercise and toning. I have to confess to slacking off a bit since the New Year. Hopefully, you will all help keep me honest!

Hi Lisa, boy I screwed that introduction up didn't I? But you see I have a reputation of not being quite right anyway.:upsidedow

They are some New Englanders on the team also, even a Conn Lawyer, Bill.:teacher:

Scampering off now.pirate:
