Miles: 11 (yay - double digits! some of this was walking)
Time: 165 minutes

Stationary Bike: 13.5 miles in 60 minutes (maybe if the distance walking thing doesn't work out, I can try the Tour de France. I don't think any of my meds are on the banned list, although I might scare some people if I were to wear one of those cycling uni's).

If the feet continue to heal I'll be doing the Seaside (FL) 1/2 marathon on 3/2, and I'll be doing the WDW 1/2 in 2009. :)

Right now my next race will be a local 10k on April 26 and then the 15k at Disney in May. After that I am planning on doing a few local 5ks as they pop up and are convienient for me. And hopefully in Nov I will run a local half marathon just in time for the 2009 full Marathon at WDW.

Hope all the DDD's are doing great this fine Saturday morning!! Might get out there for a bike ride later if it doesn't rain.
 
This has been a LTO/WTO kind of week for me, but I still managed to get in my first Triathlon workout! Ok, so I swam on Wednesday night for an hour. I dont get it, I can run marathons but after 75m in the pool I was dying. It will get better I know. Now to get my wife to agree to let me go bike shopping:scared: . Triathlon is definitely *not* a "free" sport:lmao: .

Weekly totals
13.11 running, 140 minutes including drills
150 minutes core
60 minutes swimming 250y(?) lost track of distance, including drills
0 bike this week - have to get my old mountain bike fixed first.
totals 350 minutes, call it 13.36 miles

Good job to everyone for getting out there this week. Nothing solid on the race schedule right now, but there is a sprint Tri in May I will sign up for when it opens, and there are 2 1/2 marathons in Albuquerque in April and May that look tempting. I will be signed up for 2 if not 3 of these things soon. Still thinking about Ft Collins Marathon (May 4) or Rock and Roll San Diego June 1.

I'm still deciding on the 1/2 for WDW. I really want to do it, but we have so many trips in the works that I'm just having trouble justifying another one just so I can do the 1/2 in WDW.

The grandkids (watched 4 of them in ju-jitsu class this morning) are great and the Callifornia weather sure beats what we left in Kansas. Tomorrow is on to Vegas for fun with friends. Hmmm....having trouble fitting in workouts, but I promise to make up for it when I return home.:)

Hi, gang....

I haven't been all that good about working out (or about eating well) this weekend due to guests and socializing, though I did get a 5 or so mile run in yesterday. Will ramp it up this week.

Upcoming races...a local 1/2 marathon this coming Sunday, then tri season starts for me on 3/29. yippee!

And a long overdue "hi" to everyone else. Sorry to have been MIA this past week or so. I finally got over the flu just in time to go out of town on business where my internet access was severely limited. The good news (for this week's totals, anyhow) is that without the internet or my family or sleep (I never sleep well on these trips) to distract me, I had a lot of spare time to spend at the hotel's fitness center!

I realized I never posted my somewhat pitiful numbers from last week. If it's not too late, here are my totals:

157 minutes, 17.5 miles.

Hope everyone is doing well. Keep up the good work, and SamSam, hope you have/had a wonderful trip!

I travel for work a lot, too, and sometime's it's nice that you have nothing better to do than to work out.

Hey Gang!

I don't think I have posted on here this week. I know I have on my other thread but I feel like I have neglected this one. I'm sorry. I do want to let everyone know that this week has been very productive so far. I have already done 60 miles worth of cardio at the gym. Plus, I am getting off work early tomorrow so I am going to try to hit some HUGE numbers tomorrow. I have a goal to be able to get 100 miles in 1 week's time. I hope everyone else is having a good week.

HeyMickey! Glad you are better. There is a lot of that nasty flu going around. It happens. What's important is that you are feeling better.

Welcome BamaEd! Glad to have you on the team.

Don't have a definite race coming up. I might have one coming up. It's just a 5k but it will be my first so I am excited about it. I will let you know as soon as I find out for sure.

I was just assigned to this team and am so excited!!!! I live in Montgomery, AL and am 39 years old. Married with 3 kids and a huge Disney fan. My training recently has been aimed at taking the CPAT (Candidate Physical Apptitude Test) for the Fire Department. I've been doing a lot of leg work. The test is Tuesday. After that, I plan on running a 10k (my first) the last Saturday of March and the Disney Half next year (also my first of that distance). I am in the Army National Guard and have always barely passed my annual physical fitness tests and am tired of doing so. I don't want to worry about them anymore, I want to be fit for real. Glad to be on the team!!!!!

Good luck on your CPAT. I had to laugh. I work in a hospital and one of the units is CPAT (Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment). Not the same test, I guess.

Bryan - Wow!! That's a lot of miles! Great job.

Bryan, that's funny...I am aiming for 100 miles in a week, too! :thumbsup2 But prob. won't hit it this week, though I've been getting some decent riding in on the computrainer. A little chilly to be outside without tons of gear on. and I lost a lot of time last weekend due to LTO/socializing.

Had a good run Tues. pm, some biking yesterday and a swim. More bike time today.
