Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a while, but I have been getting some workouts in.

In addition to my running workouts, I got some extra miles in. I went to New York over the weekend, and walked all over the place - about 3 miles of walking total. Then I went for a long walk with my kids on Monday. After that my back was really bugging me, so I've decided to add some daily abs work to my routine to strengthen up my core. All this from someone who was a certified couch potato 2 months ago!

I'll post my totals for the week after my run tomorrow. This week and next need to be good, because in 2 weeks I have a schedule that makes me want to  , and I'm not sure how much I'm going to get done that week!

Everyone is doing so great!!!!!!!

I did 15 miles on the bike today.

Yesterday was 1/2 hr elliptical and 1hr core but
that goes towards Lily's total.

Keep up the good work everyone :)

It really seems like everyone is "kicking it up a notch". That's fantastic! Way to go!

I changed up my cardio a little today doing both the exercise bike and the elliptical. Between the 2 of them, I got another 11.5 miles in. I stayed off the weights today but will be back on them tomorrow. That brings this weeks total to: 37.5 miles worth of cardio. Tomorrow my goal is at least 8 miles. That will put me ahead of what I was able to do in the first 2 weeks.

Come on team! Let's go!!!:cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

We're heading out to California to visit kids and grandkids for a couple of days, then on to Las Vegas where we'll be meeting up with friends for a few days of fun, so I'm afraid this next week I probably won't be contributing much to the team effort.
I'm posting this weeks hours/miles now because we're leaving earlier than planned for the 3 hour trip to the airport (winter weather/bad road conditions).
362 minutes total
21.6 miles total

:cheer2: Way to go team!:cheer2:

SamSam...have a good trip! I'll try to do a little extra to make up for it! I have more biking next week, so that helps. :)

Thanks Betsy! :) And I promise I'll have a drink and play a slot machine for you. :) Seems like a good trade!
I had to check the boards one last time (I will be able to check occasionally during our trip), now I'm out the door.
Wahoooooo!

WTG! You are definitely getting your focus.
I did 4.1 miles outside (beautiful sun, nasty wind) today in 47 minutes, then went to my local fitness center for a class in weights. It was a fantastic 30 minute weight class.....then home to shower to go out to eat for our 36th anniversary. Training comes first!

Wow, 36th anniversary, that is just awesome.

Wow Betsy! Great job. I gotta get on the bike more!

Did my 18 mile LR yesterday. I'm thinking some wheels underneath me would have made it a tad more enjoyable!

Vic - Can you see about some sort of firewall that keeps the smack-talkers out where they belong?;)

Mike and Vic trekked deep into the frigid forest in search of the perfect Christmas tree but after hours of braving blustery winds and freezing temperatures, Vic was ready to give up.

He said, "I don't know about you, Mike, but I'm going to chop down the next tree I see ... whether it's decorated or not!"

Now what is this about putting little Pandas up against the wall and shooting them? Come on y'all, I always speak highly of you.

Friendly Panda:hippie:

Hi, team, and Big Vic!

Here is my total for this week:

69.3 miles/9:00 hours

breakdown is:
19.0 miles running/3:55
48.9 miles biking/3:20
1.4 miles swimming/1:00
core/weights :45

An ok week--had to get my head wrapped around a few things work/personal wise...will hopefully swim more over the weekend. Will have less running next week, in a mini-taper for my 1/2 marathon coming up.

Great Job everyone:thumbsup2

Life and work got in the way again this week, but I did manage to get to form of exercise in although it's not the training I would like.

Friday - 5 miles - 46 mins on the TM
Saturday - Skiing - 105 mins
Sunday - Skiing - 94 mins
Monday - Snow Shoveling - 150 mins (had to shovel off the deck in VT)
Wednesday - Basketball - 90 mins (and yes that is actual game minutes)

Total - 5 miles - 485 minutes

The hours are up there, but the mileage is in the tank.

Just a quick check in to report my time. Life is crazy right now.....

150 minutes ; 10 miles

Summary for the week:

Walking: 3.25 Miles in 61 minutes (need to start working on this more to get distances increasing).

Stationary Bike: 13.5 miles in 60 minutes (maybe if the distance walking thing doesn't work out, I can try the Tour de France. I don't think any of my meds are on the banned list, although I might scare some people if I were to wear one of those cycling uni's).

Core/Psuedo Pilates: 90 minutes

Keep up the Great work Team. Snow is a falling here in Southern New England again.

Ok I was doing good the beginning of the week but tanked the last 2 days. This is starting to be a trend with me.

16th - 20 min stretch and strength
17th - 3.1 mi walk - 45 min
18th - 2.8 mi run - 35 min
19th - 4.6 bike - 35 min

total 10.5 miles - 2.25 hours (or 135 mins)

Looks like today is going to be a bust as well. My sister called at the last minute to ask me if I could ride with her to Orlando because my niece has a gymnastics competition this afternoon. Since she is driving alone I decided to go with her. Sadly though there will not a detour to Disney. Its going to be a drive up and drive back tonight. I should be leaving work in about 30 mins. :cool1:

You know Mike, it's tough getting blamed for everything I do.

Since pandas seem to like to eat them, I'll toss some bananas out and see if that will keep him content. Something like the mob, feed the panda and no harm will come. :lmao:

I just hope Donkey Kong doesn't "accidentally" step on Panda in the race for the bananas.

Good afternoon Triple D's!!

Mike - You go boy! Don't let Prissy Panda talk that smack.

The spreadsheet has been updated.

Please check your times and distances. If I need to add, delete, or correct something, let me know.

Sorry I haven't been on much. WTO this week.

Take care.
