Donalds Breakfast Safari???

So we arrive on a Saturday night. We plan on going to Blizzard Beach on that Sunday... what do ya think about a Donalds breakfast to BB? Would there be a better character breakfast to go to? I had thought my ADRs were complete, but really dont want to eat breakfast at POP on that morning, would rather play with characters. Is there a better breakfast choice? I already have a CM, CRT breakfast ADR. And a GG dinner ADR. And recommendations?

If you mean Donald's at AK it is now Tusker House character breakfast

Personally we love the breakfast at the POP...it is awesome!

The only problem with Tusker is you have to use a park admission to get in and even if you have AP, it's not at the entrance of the park.hhh I think Tusker is a great place to eat, but since you're not going to be at AK that day and you already have 2 meals with Mickey, I'd skip it.j I'm trying to think of better choices but dd won't leav e the keyboard alone.



eta: if you really want a character breakfast, how about Cape May - they're in their swimgear to go along with your BB day.

We are going to be doing POPs breakfast quite a bit, so that makes me feel better. Just thought our first morning there, something like this would be fun. On the dining site, it says its located in 2 differents spots. Had me a bit confused. Thanks for clearing that up. So when I call to make an ADR, do I ask for DSB, or Tusker House character breakfast?
Is this place worth spending the $$$?

I would love to hear other character choices. I have like 3 extra days of theme park tix thanks to this new deal. So theme park admission isnt an issue. I would love to use them up actually lol.

When I inquired here on the DISboards a month or so ago about Donald's Safari Breakfast, it came highly recommended by many members. So much so that we switched some ADR's around so we could fit in into our trip plans.

Breakfast with the characters sounds like a great way to start the day! And personally, I don't think you can have too many character meals....we have 5 scheduled into our 7 day trip.

Donald's Safari Breakfast IS the Tusker House Character Breakfast. That is currently the only character breakfast at AK.

If you have a park admission to spare, you probably can't do any better with location if your plan is to go to Blizzard Beach afterward.

We loved the safari donald breakfast!!!! It was probably our favorite food wise and the character interaction was great too!!!

I highly recommend it! We already have ADR's to do it again in March!

I might book that then. I like that it is reasonably close to BB. Now I hope I can get a ADR. Its an off peak Sunday. So far I have gotten everything I wanted. I have been a bit spoiled.
I love love love character meals!

I second Cape May, the food was fresh and delicious when we were there for breakfast.

It seems like a waste to use a ticket just to go to breakfast at AK.

We enjoyed our breakfast at Tusker House, it was fun and the food was great. Our favourite character breakfasts were Cape May at Beach Club Resort and also Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Ohanas. They were both fantastic but Tusker House was good too, but not as good as the other two.

I'm pleasantly surprised to say we really liked the TH breakfast. We usually avoid buffets like the plague, but booked 3 character meals for the newbie we took. We were expecting to take one (or 3) for the team, but it was really very good. We may actually return sometime soon. (If you knew how bad we hate buffets, you'd understand my surprise.) The other 2 character meals, we'll go back to avoiding.

I agree, we had an 8am on wednesday, we were not rushed the characters spent enough time at the tables and the food was very good, not much choice, but very good, even the house drink was tasty...

What about Cape May Cafe for breakfast? Have you been? We love it...It is very calm, the food is very good, character interaction is great, and you do not have to worry about going through security and admission at a park...You can take a cab to the Beach Club if you do not have a car...Cost is very cheap to take a cab and they are always waiting outside your resort or only takes a couple of a minutes to get to you...It will be a relaxing way to start your day to do Cape May and you get the characters and the good food.
