Donald Duck in Normal Attire

Hi! My little one is obsessed with Mickey but recently has been super interested in Donald Duck. On our previous visits we noticed he had a hesitant reaction to Mickey when he was in a “costume” that made him look different. It seems to be common at WDW for the characters to be in themed outfits. I was looking into ways we could meet Donald and every one I have found has him in a themed outfit.

Tusker House - Safari gear
Chef Mickeys - chef coat
Mexico - poncho & hat
Dinoland - explorer outfit
Silly Sideshow - circus attire

I know sometimes the characters will randomly come out in that area to the right as you enter World Showcase, but that’s not something we can bank on.

Are there any regular Donald meets in which he is in his normal Donald outfit? Thanks!!

Hollywood Studios

He meets in DHS in classic attire sometimes but usually it's usually his old Hollywood outfit. He used to meet at the Character Spot in EPCOT in his classic blue sailor outfit but I haven't been over there in years I think it's usually Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie now days. If you have a Disney Visa Debit or Credit card you can go to the Visa meet and greet at EPCOT and it's usually 2 of the fab five in their classic attire. But it's luck of the draw. We've met Donald in his regular blue sailor outfit there before.

You’ll never randomly find him in Epcot’s WS in his classic attire because his regular meet is ongoing in Mexico.

In Classic attire in DHS after you enter the park:
Meet Donald Duck near Crossroads of the World
Intermittently 8:45am-12:45pm & 1:15pm-3:55pm

We have seen him in normal attire at the Chase Disney Visa meet in Epcot. That said, they do NOT guarantee which character would show up.

You can make him his own plate at buffets. Other restaurants he can eat off your plate but from my experience they will often bring them something small like a little Mac and cheese/etc.

Thank you all. When I said World Showcase I was meaning that area right at the start to the right with the huge like barn door gates that they sometimes open and have characters. We’ve seen Donald there but maybe he wasn’t in his sailor attire, I thought he was? Looks like DHS is our best option. Thanks!!

We saw him in his classic blue outfit on May 31 at HS at the front of the park. Daisy was with him, but the lines were separate, Just so you know!

We actually found him in his classic attire along with a bunch of other more unusual characters. I believe it was a training session. We saw Donald Mickey Pluto Rabbit Penguin Smee Pigglet and Big Al. Best character interaction ever that day for us. Sorry I don’t know why all my photos post sideways

Yes! That’s the spot I was referencing! I had also heard they use it for training!
