dolphins at sea world

Is there pleny of dolphins acativity at sea world without going to discover cove? My daughter LOVESdolphins but I can't swing the dc price tag are there any programs at sea world I should make sure to see? any feeding or anything extra I can check into? thanks This trip is3 yrs in the savings and trying to squeeze as much as I can.

If your daughter is older than 10 you can do the Behind the Scenes at the Dolphin Nursery tour, I can highly recommend this tour.

and yes there is a place to pet and feed the dolphins, im pretty sure you can do this anytime the park is open

yes there is the dolphins show (horizons), and there is the dolphin cove section within the park, where you are able to stroke/pet the dolphins and also feed them fish at feeding time, and there is an underwater viewing area. there is also a dolphin nursey where you can see the babies and their mums. (this is all included in park admission apart from paying for the fish to feed them)

then as prevoiulsy mentions there is a dolphin nursey tour for 10 and up which cost $40.

It is actually pretty easy to get the opportunity to feed and touch the dolphins at the dolphin cove feeding area. The key is that you need to get in line to buy the food early (sometimes as much as 1 hour). The days first feeding is best because the staff keep the guests back from the edge of the tank so that those with food can get a prime spot. Another little trick we have learned is to resist the urge to feed the dolphins right away. There will be 40-50 people with food so the doplhins eat where they can, which might not be from you. If you wait until most others are finnished you can create a multi-dolphin feeding frenzy right in from of you. This creates the best opportunity to have extended contact with the dolphins. They just love to be petted.....PS- Bring hand sanitizer....those fish smell pretty bad, and soap and water is worthless.
