Dolphin

We have stayed at most of the Disney Hotels over the last 10 years, we are staying at the Dolphin for 2 weeks from the 4th of July, any tips and must do's while we are there?

The Dolphin is a great hotel in a great locations. You will love the beds too - so comfortable

We stayed there in December 2005. We had a fantastic view of the Boardwalk and and Swan hotel. We could also see the fireworks from Illuminations

It is quite large hotel and it took us a while to get our barings, especially because the front and rear entrances are on different levels.

Make sure you get a refillable mug from Picabu.

We only ate at Picabu and the pool bar. Picabu is a counter service eatery and also has a small shop for snacks and essentials.
The burger I had from the pool bar was one of the best I had duriong our stay

The pool is really nice, although in December we only went in a few times. There is a nice articial beech with hammocks which I would imagine would be very nice in the summer

You can easily walk to Epcot international gateway entrance from the Dolphin and if your are feeling fit, to the Hollywood Studios too (although it may be a little too warm in July!).
The Friendship boats will also take you to Epcot and Studios, although they do call at the Beach/Yacht Clubs and the Boardwalk so can be a little slow. But if you are not in a hurry they are a nice relaxing ride
Buses will take you to MK, AK and DTD from the font of the hotel. The buses seemed to be shared with the Swan in December. They called at the Swan first so arrived at the Dolphin already half full. So it may be better to walk over to the Swan to get the bus and get on first
