does the dolphin have any ground floor guest rooms? we would like a patio rather than a balcony.

yes, they do. I have no idea how many patio rooms are available, though

I'd call and ask them to put that request on your reservation

Yes they have a significant number of ground floor rooms with patios.

There are some nice ground floor patio rooms right by the pool, though you might want to ask at check in about the noise level. I know some of the ground floor rooms are handicapped accessible, so I don't know how easy it is to get one if you aren't disabled in some way.

If you request anything at the dolphin that is doable.....it will be done , being a starwood resort they really take pride in making special request happen if at all possible......gosh I love that resort sooooooo much. Have fun.
