Dolphin just matched Expedia rate!!!!!

We got 129.00 per night thru 12/27.....Just saved $175 overall from our orig ressies! Call direct to the Dolphin at 1-888-828-8850! Every little bit helps!

How did you get them to do that? I called and they said I would have to book it online.

We already had ressies and I politely asked if they could check their system as I noticed Expedias rates had dropped, were there any specials going on at the S/D? I was especially anxious as I rec'd an e-postcard from the Dolphin yesterday but can't get the code to apply, and all the help desks were unsure of it also...looks like it was an offer of $199...which was around $30 less than reg., so I thought what the heck, maybe there is some play in numbers. As usual, I rec'd the nicest ressie agent, she checked and said, why yes, the rates have dropped a little. In my case $18.50 the first 6 nights and $40.00 the last 3. I now have the 129 thruought our stay instead of an increase for 12/25,26, and 27. I am always extremely polite, courteous and remind them I am a repeat customer. I think the fact that we are staying 10 nights over peak season may have helped a bit. Ans we are SPG Gold, not that it should matter, but just filling you in on our particulars.

Try back...remember tho, like any rate there are only so many rooms offered at it. Plus I coughed up our view, but I need to lower the $$$ this trip big time.
