Dolphin experience at Epcot - age requirement question

Is Disney super firm in their age requirement (13) for this? I want to do it with my family but my son will turn 13 two weeks after our trip. Thanks for any help.

Disney is very firm on their age restrictions on all the various tours and similar.

Yes, the age restriction is for safety and liability reasons. Not to mention, the aquarium at the Seas pavilion is one of the largest in North America, do not underestimate the size and depth of the water, it's even intimidating for a seasoned swimmer let alone a 13 year old. IMO I wouldn't even consider it.

We did discovery cove a couple years ago and it was amazing if you want to do a dolphin thing.. the food and drink all day was nice.. beautiful relaxing setting
