Dolphin Encounters in Nassau Bahamas

Has anyone ever done the Dolphin Encounter on Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau Bahamas???

We are taking a trip to the Bahamas and this Dolphin encounter is far less money than Discovery Cove is (even at the Florida Resident rate). We are considering going to do the Dolphin thing at Dolphin Encounters instead. Has anyone had any experience here?

I'm pretty sure that is where we did our dolphin encounter on our honeymoon (stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort) it was great and we got a video of us with the dolphins. Very fun, only thing is if you wear contacts be careful the dolphin splashed and it got in my contacts and my eyes burned until we got back to the resort. Great experience.

We are heading down next week and doing the swim with the dolphins. I can't wait!!!

We stayed at the Sandals resort to and did the dolphin encounter. It was so cool I loved it. We didn't do the swin but the one where a bunch of people sat around in a square that sits partially in the water and the dolphin comes in and they have them interact with you. The best part of our trip was that. I think our dolphins name was "Stormy". I have the cutest picture of him kissing me and the instructor made the dolphin splash only me it was so funny I got soaked. Have a great time.

Is Dolphin Encounter run by Unexso? When I was about 14 I did a Jr. Trainer program there and it was great. It was one of the first things I did when I first became interested in working with dolphins. If it is the same place, it was great.

Nope, not the same place. I just looked it up. If you're ever on Grand Bahama, Unexso has some good programs too.

You will have a great time! I did this with my daughter last September and we loved it! The best part was when the dolphins come up behind you, put their noses to your feet and push you across the water! It was so fun, a really unique experience!
