I have booked flights for Chritmas (16th Dec- 1st Jan) and I think we will do POR for the first 6 nights, then a Villa at Esprit (golf for DH!) for 9 nights over Christmas and then splash out on a EPCOT area hotel for our last 2 nights (30th/31st Dec).

I have seen a rate of £160 a night for booking now, for those two nights, which seems pretty good to me for the time of year. We are not nurses/teachers or local govt so does anyone think a better rate than that would come out for AP holders, I'm sure AP discounts have only been for check ins up to 25th Dec before....(I may buy one, there are the first six nights too, and the discount card)

I suspect I should just book it!!

You will have a great time, we booked the Dolphin last new year for 5 nights in the middle of our holiday. Epcot was mobbed!! We had to leave early because my DD4 became unwell. Throwing up in the sunshine food court!! Great for my fellow diners  Anyway ended up watching the fireworks from the bridge near the Dolphin. What a great position, we saw Epcots, MGM's and DDD. The whole sky was lit up with them and there must of only been about 20 people watching from there. We are going again next year and intend to watch from the bridge.

We will be at the Dolphin this New Year too. We are going to a hotel on I drive for the first 4 nights and then the last 2 at the Dolphin before we fly home on the 1st. It's just so nice to know that we will be able to walk back on NYE :cool1:
