Dollar Rental - Does it get any better than this?

About six months ago I made a reservation with Dollar. I am driving myself nuts because I'm worried that I'm going to be missing out on a better deal. Does anyone with rental experience think it is going to get much better than this? I'm also worried because I can't remember putting in a rate code. I think it came up automatically. Does this happen sometimes?

YOUR RATE IS: 1 Week at $148.79 per week. Unlimited mileage.

3 Extra Days at $24.18 per day.

If you are worried about a better deal, why not just visit the site weekly and check the rates? If you find something better, cancel or modify the original reservation.

That's what I've been doing, but I was wondering if any experienced renters had an opinion about my rate. Just asking for others opinions.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me! That's about what I've paid for a compact from Dollar my last two trips.

Could rates come down? I suppose it is possible. But you are pretty near the bottom. On the slight chance that rates do come down, it's extremely unlikely to be more than a few bucks off the total bill.

I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe check back once or twice before you leave, but otherwise ignore it. You got a great rate - spend your time thinking of fun ways to spend the money you saved.
