I do not unpack at hotels. I use the suitcase as a dresser. I use a plastic bag for laundry.
I usually do the same thing. However, the one time I hung up some nicer clothes for a nice dinner, I forgot to check the closet and left them in the closet when we left!!!! I learned my lesson to Not use the closet unless I write a note to let myself know I did that or get a notice on my phone. (I didnt get anything back) I f you are wondering why I didn't have them check with lost and found, they were nicer clothes than I wear everyday at the parks, but Not my very best clothes.

My answer is yes and no, so I chose "other." I don't like putting my clothes in the dresser because who knows what's been in those drawers and if they're even clean. I leave most of my clothes in my suitcase and just pull out whatever I need each day. I sometimes hang a few things in the closet, like nicer outfits or things that tend to wrinkle if they're folded up too long. I do unpack toiletries and put them in the bathroom area. Dirty clothes go in plastic bags and get packed back in suitcases for the trip home. I make sure everyone has their own bag so they don't try to toss their stuff in with mine!

I typically keep things in cubes so I can either place the cubes in drawers or leave them in my suitcase. It depends on whether we stay put for 5 or more days or travel to different destinations.

I was thinking the same thing. 😆

Generally I live out of my suitcase if it's 3 nights or less. (Except for a fancy dress if I need one. - I'll hang that up.)

For a long trip like a week at Disney, I would generally swipe the drawers with Lysol wipes and unpack.

For a short/carry-on only trip, I'll bring a trash bag for laundry. If it's long enough that we bring the "big suitcase" I have a spare pop-up hamper that fits in it.

I'll definitely be packing lysol spray and wipes on my next trip in a few days.

It never occurred to me that people would put their dirty stuff in the drawers. I'll be wiping and spraying the drawers and will probably still feel skeeved out.

I have a cloth laundry bag that came from Ikea and I use that - day 5 or 6 I'll do laundry this trip.

Packing cubes - underwear, tshirts, socks, bras are what I usually put in the drawers - shirts and sweaters get hung up. Shoes go on the floor in the closet.

Will also pack a plastic bag or two in the event something is messy for the trash can. I'd forgotten this and was annoyed last time because I really dislike having to drop sloppy stuff in the trash can. Sometimes I've lined it with Disney's shopping bags.

Used to use the pop ups when I was bringing 3 -4 kids, mine plus their friends.
