dollar rent a car

Has anyone recently rented from dollar??? We rented from them 2 years ago and it was bad. We need a mini van ( lots of kids). In the inside it was Horriable. It stunk so bad of cigaratees and there were the butts and ashes falling out of lthe ashtray. it had what looked like dried BUGGERS on the dashboard!!! and it was very dirty. And wouldnt you know it was the LAST van they had. My hubby went and cleaned the inside and then sprayed it down with antibatercial spray and frebreez. I am thinking about using them again cause they are the cheapest. And we do need a van. We have family in orlando and we go and stay a week with them then return the van and take a lime to disney for 2 weeks for a just us family time vacation. Thanks for any help.

I rented with Dollar the last two years and will be renting from them this year. We are going March 15-21 to Disney. I have reserved a minivan, too! I got a great rate of $169/week. They are running a special with Southwest.
We have not had any problems with them. Great service. I would try them again in the future with no reservations.

Does that include taxes and fees? Alamo.com has a Hot Deal of $30 off 5 day rental for Spring Break. I put your dates in and got a total of $157.26 for a minivan (Chevy Uplander) including taxes. Though I don't know your arrival/departure times so that might change it a bit. Thought you might want to know!

We rented an SUV in November from Dollar and was very happy with our vehicle! It was almost new!...Very clean too!

Thanks, I think I'll go ahead and give them a try again. They are the cheapest so far for a mini van.

We have always been happy with Dollar. Your story has me scared though! LOL! I would freak if I got a car like that! (I could probably live with the smell--easy enough to cover, but actual ashes and boogers--yak!)

I went on-line and got a minivan from Dollar for mid March 7 days for base rate of 148 and total $190 with code wn115.

We used Dollar out of Sanford International. The first van that we got in was dirty! It had goo spots all over like someone had spilled a pop in it and left it. We ended up getting another minivan which was great, but the lady at the counter acted like it was a big inconvenience to switch vehicles. Since we were renting it for 8 days with 4 adults and 2 kids, we weren't going to put up with sticky spots for that long. I would recommend them again, but I don't think they clean the vehicles very often...or really...even inspect them after each use very well!
