Some one posted about a gat deal that dollar (I think)had going.
Can't find it now. Does anyone know any great deals. Will be traveling down
2nd week in May.

Thanks!

Go to their site. Enter your dates etc. Once it takes you to the car and rate page you'll be able to click an icon that says "click for city special". Once you do that it should lower your rates significantly. Hope that helps.

Is tis standard for dollar?
Should I go ahead and book now?

If you go to the Transportation board, there are a lot of discount codes listed there! Good luck in getting a great rate. We found a good rate using rentalcarmomma.com and combining with an Alamo Insider perk.

You can always reserve and then cancel if you find something better.

Yes it's standard. You can reserve and cancel as many times as you like. As soon as you find a cheaper price for the same dates you have you can cancel your current reservation and rebook at the lower rate.

Ended up at $179 all inclusive for 8 days.
Seems pretty good to me.
Any chance I'll beat that price?

You should keep looking especially as you get closer to your travel date. Not sure what size car you have reserved, but, we were able to get an Alamo mid-size for $138 for nine days and this was Dec. 31 - Jan 9, '13.

Cool....thanks.
This was for a Full size but was actually the same cost as the mid size since it was on special.

That's a good price! Remember to just tell them you will fill up your tank before you return it. We always fill up close to wherever we are (RaceTrak, Hess, etc) and the tank is still full when we get to the airport! Also, take a copy of your car insurance with you. For some reason, Budget was the only rental agency that told us we needed a copy of our personal car insurance to be covered in Florida...

Got it.
