Dollar predictions?

Hi there, I check dollar rates daily and they've been rising steadily for last couple of weeks, it's good for us Brits , maybe not our American friends though wanting to visit here.
Last time we visited the rate bombed and we didn't get much for all our hard saving, I'm nervous now lol, .... Does anyone have a rough idea what this year may hold ?I know it's not easy to predict, just wondered if there were any experts on here who might shed some light
