Sorry if this is a stupid question :) I tried to look this up but can't find any Info

We are picking up a car in orlando airport and dropping off the next day along the 192 kissimmee does any one know if they charge a one way fee

I don't know about Dollar but Alamo don't charge and you can drop the car off at Disney. They will then take you directly to a park or anywhere else you want to go.

I believe it is unlawful for car rental firms in Florida to charge drop off fees for one way rentals within the state.

There is no law against drop charges (one way fees) in Florida.
The rental car business is just so competitive that rental car companies typically don't have drop charges for one way rentals within the state.

We were just in WDW a month ago and flew into Tampa and out of Orlanda and we rented a car from dollar and was charged a $100 dollar drop off fee. Budget who is also owned by the same company that owns dollar has the same fee. Hertz and a couple of other companies I compared prices to at the time did not have a drop off fee but the rental was considerably more.

If you book direct with a US rental company you will possibly pay a one way rental fee and a lot more for rental costs.
Use a UK based agent like USrentacar.co.uk or direct with Dollar.co.uk and you don't pay one way rentals with Dollar or any other.
I just did a dummy booking with both these UK companies to test it.
Dollar.co.uk was cheapest so I will quote their figures, 1st-8th Nov (7 days rental) either a one way rental from TPA to MCO or a roundtrip from MCO both were the same price at £111 incl all taxes, fees and insurances.

When you booked did you put collection MCO and return to the Hwy192 depot? if you did then that includes all fees, they can't charge you anymore if thats what you bought from them. On the other hand if when you booked you put into the site collection MCO return MCO then they are within their rights to charge you a fee for taking it back to the wrong location.

Yep booked it Pick up MCO and return to the holiday inn on the 192 doing the same the day before we leave picking up on the 192 returning to MCO I made sure I got the fuel added too don't want to pay for a full thank when we arrive as we wont use it only charged us €6 extra for fuel my husband is Insured on my aunts minivan so going to use that for the rest of the holiday :)

No problems then if you have booked a 1 way rental that includes all fees. As I said its usually just booking with US companies when you get charged, we get far better deals here in UK.

What size car did you get? Dollar.co.uk are doing some very good rates just now, for 45 euros (£39) you could have had just about the pick of any car on their site incl platinum cover.

Thank you for the help we got a 7 seater thats a good deal dollar is doing will look at them next time the last time we got a taxi from the airport it cost us $80 so booking the car saved us money

Only once ever taken a taxi(when Alamo ran out of cars, they paid for taxi) $50 from MCO to All stars Movies, that was 10 years ago, no doubt its gone up since then. Worse thing is being in a car with someone else at the wheel, I am not a good passenger in a car.:rotfl:
