Dollar Fastlane vs. Budget Fastbreak - which is easier?

I usually use National EA at MCO, so don't usually have to wait in a line in the airport(the kiosk outside to check out is a different story, though). I just made a ressie w/Dollar, coming in at 10:00AM on Friday, Nov. 12th, as it's my best deal to date. I do have a Fastlane card, so will be using the separate check-in line. Do you think I'll have a long wait at that time of day? At least when I'm done in the line in the airport, I can just get in my car and drive out the garage with no more lines.

I also currently have a ressie for Budget for about $12 more, and can use their Fastbreak, but as I've never used it before, have no idea how it works. Is it like EA at National? Do I pick my own car in the garage and then sit in a line for the kiosk to check out? Or do I go to a window in the garage to get my keys?

Is it worth $12 more to go with unknown Budget Fastbreak? Or should I stick with the familiar Dollar Fastlane and save the $12?

I belong to and use both programs. I prefer Budget as you just go straight across the street to the garage booth to get your keys. With Dollar you wait in a separate line in the terminal and they'll call you over to an agent. For just a few bucks, I'd go with the Budget car.

DVC Don - So with Budget Fastbreak, do I get to pick out my own car like EA? Or do I just go to the Budget booth in the garage and they give me the keys to a car they assign?

I hate not knowing what I'm supposed to do!

I haven't done Budget, but I have done dollar fastlane and it was -well- fast. Long line at regular dollar, but only 2 people in the fastlane line and I was through in less than 5 minutes. Plus they don't try to push insurance, upgrades etc which I takes so long in the regular lines. I also do EA at national because I like to pick my car, but dollar was actually faster. The line at the kiosk for National can be long and sometimes really slow. I'd recommend Dollar as a good way to go.

No, not like EA (also a member of that). They hand you the keys to a car at Budget Fastbreak. I do not use National or Alamo anymore.

You'd have to check the Budget web site for that answer. I've been a member for years and forget if it cost me to join.

Not to change the subject, but what is the deal? I've got a full size National EA for $184 and a Full size at budget for $146. But always looking to save a few more $$. We arrive 11/9 for 7 days.

thanks
Anne

i just joined both dollar fastlane and budget fastbreak. neither one of them cost anything.

right now my rate for feb is about $30 cheaper with budget, but i'm holding on to both.

from what i understood of the fastbreak(budget), there is a kiosk at mco. once you're done there, you just go out to the garage and pick out a car in the class you reserved.

about this dollar mag rate--for my feb dates 2/19-2/26---this code doesn't work. it says that the location does not accept it. how are you guy getting this to work?

i also belong to alamo quicksilver and national emerald aisle (can you tell i hate to wait in line?) their rates are ridiculous for the week i'm going ($400!!!) but i'll just keep checking.

On the way to the Budget booth can you check out the cars and say to the attendant .... "hey I want that car"?

I heard that when you join fastbreak or any of the other programs that if it is your first time using this service then you still have to go to the regular check in booth. Is this true?

tracya
when i joined both national emerald aisle and alamo quicksilver i did not have to go to the regular check in. i wouldn't join if they made me do that!

What's the return policy for Dollar FB or Budget EA?
Are they pretty quick?
