I've registered with Dollar Express and had our cards through. Do I need to do anything like inform Virgin of the details (please say 'no', please say 'no'!) or do I just turn up and join the Express queue with my voucher?

Thanks

There is a chance it wont be any use to you. All depends which Virgin staff you get. Some let you go to the front, some make you line up with everyone else but there should be little or no line with Virgin anyway. Majority of people buy car rental seperate, that line gets very busy and express is a must, saves me around 1 hour (or more) every time but Virgin have their own desks which are generally a lot quieter.

although we have booked several virgin holidays, I have never bothered to queue at their desks and (so far!!;) ) I have never been turned away at the main dollar rental car desk, or at the dollar express line!!:thumbsup2

DISwolves (Nigel) was on same flight as us last August, he was in front of us at Dollar Express line, he was turned away, told he had to goto Virgin desks for Virgin rentals. We were OK booking independantly. Must depend who is on the desk.

Thanks Wayne, have signed up this evening just have to wait for my membership card etc......

Can I make a resi now and use my express card when we land at MCO?

I think you are probably right Wayne - I think we have also been fortunate that there hasn't been anyone else queueing when we've been through - so perhaps they are a bit more lenient when its really quiet!!:confused3 :thumbsup2

Yes you can.

I also found when using my Dollar Express card earlier this year that I didn't get so much of the 'hard sell' for upgrades etc.

I am sure you are right. Although I have never experienced hard sell like many talk about I think since using express their attitude has changed to me, a lot more friendly and polite. Hope it continues next Thursday and Xmas.

We used the Dollar express for the first time this year and were very impressed by the amount of time it saved us.
We also got a free upgrade. Can't say for sure that it was because of the Express card but would like to think that it helped. :thumbsup2
