I just got back from the Dollar Car Rental page and picked out a Thursday to Thursday week (which i'm doin in sept).

Base rates for Compacts are as follows:

Code ENTERTAIN....... $108

Code Fish...................$125

Code FVG...................$125

Code KISS..................$160

Code FLTVL................$160

Are there better deals than that? The economy car at the Entertain rate is $99 base. Any thoughts on this or other car rental deals?......... Rick

These are Florida rentals from the Orlando Airport (MCO).
I did try setting up a rental for the same time period without any codes at the dollar website and the price????

I've have to go and check my rates again. I have the dollar ENTERTAIN code rate, but looks like it has dropped. FYI, I just returned last night (this morning early AM) and used the ENTERTAIN code. It worked just fine. Not a problem. Didn't need a coupon. I know there was some concern about using it. Just wanted to add my 2 cents. Going to dollar.com now!

Just as an FYI. I used the entertain code for our trip to Vegas in 2 weeks. An intermediate for 4 days was $92 with the code. I took the code OUT, just to check and see how much I would 'save' using the code, and to my surprise the rate dropped to $76 without that code (or any other code).

It may be just a fluke in the system, but I would check if I were you and make sure you're actually saving with that code.

I believe the code is for a Florida rental and that may be the reason, not totally sure, it didn't work for Vegas. Many of these codes postd here are for Florida rentals only.

I just reserved a full size for a week with the entertain code & received a rate of 162.68 w/taxes & fees. I think this is a good deal. Has everyone had good luck w/Dollar out of MCO airport?

Lawgs: I entered that code and my $75 rate went to $91. That is sooo wierd, maybe the $75 is some other special (?).

DISMOMof3, we just returned 2 days ago and used Dollar and the entertain code. No problems whatsoever. Check in was quick and effortless. Got a great full size car, practically new. Returning the car was the easiest ever. Took about 5 minutes (or less). The employees were friendly and helpful.

I have reserved a mini van for September pin event time for 1 week and got a rate of $202 using the entertain code. I have redone the reservation 2 times since I checked back once a week and the rate kept dropping, so check back a couple of times before your trip, you may be surprised at what you find.
I have rented from Dollar at MCO about 12 times and always have gotten a nice clean car/van. Sometimes the service is a bitslow but we often come in on the 12:30AM flight and only one person is working but other times have been pretty quick, esp. compared to the long lines at the other counters.
