Dollar Car sizes

I need to book my car hire (am off in 2 days) Dollar seem to have the best price but I have never booked through them so...does anyone know how small there Economy cars are in comparison to cars in the UK? We usually book with alamo so get to choose the car from a row, but for some reason the price is so much higher than dollars.
Any help is really appreciated as need to get this sorted tonight as my DF thinks its all booked and sorted OOPS!

They say that their economy is some kind of Kia, but i don't think they have anything smaller than a Dodge Caliber, which we got last time, and I loved it.

I'd say it's maybe about Focus sized, easily big enough for the two of us.
In fact, they look tiny over there as every other car is a 4x4, but if you see them over here they look massive!!

Are you getting married over there? If so make some kind of mention of it at the Dollar desk and hope for a free upgrade, that's what we plan to do

we had a caliber in feb and it was fine for the 2 of us but we didnt have much luggage then.

we have booked an internediate 4x4 four our trip going on thursday!!!

I think a caliber would be fine for 2 with a good ammount of luggage in the boot and back seat, tho if there's any more of you plus the luggage i agree that it might not be enough

Ok think we will book that then. That size car is perfect for us (we will only be zipping to and from the parks an only have 2 cases)

Might try the upgrade but I get so embaressed doing things like that! After a long day of kids and small spaces (the aircraft) and immigration queues I might just think what the hell!!!!

me too, luckily my fiancée is less so.
Thinking about making some kind of quip about having so much luggage for our wedding but not having the money for an upgrade, when they ask you if you want to purchase one, and hope for the best "they can't hit you"

Are you all booked with Virgin then? That's who we're with. Where are you getting married?

Sorry another question. I am going to join dollar express, when I enter my form of payment details does this need to be the card that I paid on? Or is this just for there reference incase I destroy the car?

Doesn't need to be the same card i don't think.
We booked through Virgin last year, then used a different card when it came to putting the insurance on at the desk and it was fine

We're staying at the Hyatt Regency and getting married at Cypress Grove (couldn't justify the extra for a Disney wedding as going abroad was meant to make it cheaper even tho it's still working out very expensive lol!) then off on the Disney Wonder, can't wait!!!

Were flying with virgin but booked the wedding seperatly.
Flying from Manchester - we always go from Gatwick and fancied a change as we are in the middle of both airports.
we are using orange county courthouse as heard that it is usually quiter and easier to park.
We thought that getting married abroad might work out cheaper but ive flown past the $12000 mark so ive now stopped counting - if I pretend I cant see my final costs then with a bit of pixie dust it might go away!!

oh know its like a picture of the sites in orlando, i have seen it from a far and saw the earful tower from MGM and loads of other stuff, just a nice one to frame i guess
