Dollar car rental

I need advice about renting a mini-van from Dollar car rental. We need a car from 8/3-8/15 and I found a code that will let me rent for $213 base rate per week. With taxes the total for the entire rental period will be around $530. Does this sound like an okay deal? Also for those of you who have used Dollar before, did you have a good experience? Are the cars located at the airport or do we need to take a shuttle off-site? Any advice would be great. I of course will keep looking for better deals since August is still a long ways off but wondering if I should reserve this offer now.

That sounds about right. I have a minivan reserved for two weeks in August too and my rate including taxes and fees is $600.

Sounds about right. I've got a minivan rented for July for 10 days and my price was about the same as yours. Dollar had the best rate by FAR of any of the other rental companies.

I think we used Dollar one other time and I don't recall any glaring problems.

They are in the airport, another reason we chose them. I do not want the hassle of having to shuttle somewhere to get the car. We are in Florida, let's get to Disney already

I have a minivan through Thrifty for $356 for 11 days June 27-July 7. I have been looking for a better rate, but since I reserved this rate, the rates are just getting higher. The cheapest I could get for those days today is around $450. From what I have been seeing, that is a pretty average rate.

mousesavers.com has some nice codes to enter on Dollar's site. If you haven't tried some of those codes already, you may want to. They saved us quite a bit of money on our upcoming rental in Dec '07.
