Dollar car rental - pickup question!

I haven't rented from Dollar in years, but will be picking up there in a few days. We have the Dollar Express but I can't recall if they have kiosks by the counter or is our only option to use the counter? I know about the Dollar Express lane, but wasn't sure if I could use a kiosk or a counter in the garage?
 
With Dollar Express you can completely avoid all of the counters. Go directly to the garage and your name should be on a monitor that tells you the spot in which your car is parked. Go straight to the car. They check your ID when you exit the parking area.
 
Agree with the PP. My experience was I just went out to the garage...don't bother with the counter in the terminal. The only thing I might add would be to get into your Dollar Express account and make sure all your info is current (such as driver's license and credit card (I forget if they have that))...and of course make sure your reservation is tied to your Express account.
 
With express you don't get to pick your car? Rented with dollar before but never express and was always able to pick any car in that category lane

PP mentioned car being displayed on monitor. Is this vorrect? This rental us linked to express but if I can't pick car them maybe I will go to counter instead
 

OP here - thanks for the info. I did call Dollar today to see if my Express # was linked to my reservation and found out it wasn't. I had a note I called back in August to link it, once I updated my DH's license/credit card info. Sure hope I see my name on the board in the garage when I get to MCO!

Don't panic if you don't see your name. One time somehow I had two reservations in their system, although I cancelled one of them a couple of days before arrival. I just checked in at the garage counter (where the sign board is located) and all was good. My experience has been that there's only a couple of people online at the garage counter. As long as you have a reservation in the system and you have Express, they should be able to handle it.

I did see a comment about the assigned car. If you would rather have a different car in that class, just go back to the garage counter and they can change it for you. The assignment isn't set in stone. If you happen to see an agent walking around, they may also be able to do it for you. I'm not sure if you can just take a car and check out, like Alamo.
