Last month when I stayed at the Polynesian I told myself I would try a Dole Whip since I would not have far to go for one. Anyway I tried the Vanilla one and I thought it tasted amazing, so during my stay I had two more.

My opinion is dole whip is ok, not the greatest to me.

Me either. And considering how good they looked, we were a bit let down when we actually tasted it. Of course we've never had them at WDW, only DL, but I can't imagine they're all that different. I'll just stick to regular ice cream or a glass of pineapple juice.

Which of course means there will now be plenty of Dole Whip left for the rest of you!

Does Captain Cook's really have a SELF SERVE Dole Whip machine now? That's awesome. However they'd have to stop me before I served myself a Dole Whip that was ten feet high.

I wonder how much they'd charge for me to just stick my mouth under the machine and pull the lever?

I've been working at WDW for over a year now, and I had my first Dole Whip last night.

OMG!

Amazing. Now, I'm gonna go broke, because I'll want one every day. And since I work there, the temptation to get one is too great to resist. I mean, it's only a short walk away, for Petes sake!!!

I wonder if Disney will pay me in Dole Whips?

Thank you to all here at Dis for recommending. I had always seen the stand, but I thought that it was just another yogurt/ice cream shop. Was I wrong. I tried a Dole Whip in September. So refreshing and tasty on a hot, humid September day! Also, a Free Dining snack! Anyway, thanks to all for the recommendation. I can't wait to have another this Labor Day!

I was treated to my first Dole Whip in November (thanks, Barb!). I had it with pineapple ice cream and pineapple juice, and it was very good. I didn't think to have one when I was at WDW a few weeks later with my family. I'll be back at WDW 2 weeks from tomorrow, so hopefully I'll remember to get another.

The other thing I tried because of the DISboard recommendation was schoolbread at the bakery in Norway at Epcot. Yum!

Bad news...after having the float, you may not have the regular one.

Having had both, I only order the float any more...the addition of pineapple juice makes it even better.

True that. Had our first ones at the Dole plantation in Hawaii, and then were super psyched to find out that they have them in Disney! I always get the float - pineapple juice, pinapple whip...YUM!

You can get them at MK in Adventure Land at Aloha Isle. It's across from the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.

That's exactly where I had my first one! It was YUMMY!
