Dole Whip

The Dole Whip Floats are my favorite - so refreshing, especially when it is really warm. It is the best use of a snack credit for me! :dance3:

Wow!!! Looks delicious!!!
Ok, anyone know the nutritional info on these...just trying to be a good girl. Or should I just not ask and make sure I share one???

Did a little research and found this on the Dole website

So it looks like it isn't that bad. YAHOO!!! I am sure that the serving size isn't half a cup though so I'll have to share!

I also found this nutri info from the distributor:
It ranges from 80-90 Calories/ 1/2 cup. Has under 3 grams of fat (ps the fruit flavors only have only 0.5 grams of fat!!--it's the vanilla and chocolate that have 2.5 g) and 0 cholestrol. It can be marketed as Low fat, cholesterol free, gluten free, and lactose free (for any of those out there with those allergies rejoice!)

This goes for the vanilla and chocolate flavors too--they are not ice cream, but rather a frozen dessert. (And I'm almost positive the strawberry and orange stands are the same product as well).

I will be trying one TOMMOROW NIGHT ! ! ! Thats right, I leave tonight for the world. So, in the evening hours of Sunday night, I will be enjoying a dole whip and thinking of all my fellow disers. I will be wearing my lime green mickey of course !

Holy cow, these look Delish! Adventure land, here I come! (well, in March!)

We love Dole Whips too, but we get ours from the Dole Pineapple Plantation. (about 10 miles up the road LOL) :) YUM!!!!! It's a tie on where I like to eat it more--Disney or Hawaii!!!

I too was wondering what the heck they were, but felt silly asking since I have been quite a few times, and never remember hearing of them or seeing them for that matter, now that I have seen the pic.
Can't wait to try one of 'em when we go for our first Holiday trip Dec. 18-23. Dining Plan Snack Credit????

Okay... so making Dole Whip at home will definitely take some of the magicalness away from it, but for those of you who can't make it to WDW soon enough....

(here's my long story.... )

I just got home from a business trip.... before I leave I always download podcasts onto my iPod to keep me entertained during my flights. I just recently started downloading Disney podcasts and I had added some video podcasts from Inside the Magic. I began watching episode #112 an would you believe it? It was all about how to make Dole Whip at home!

Evidently the mix is sold at this website and you can make it at home in your own ice cream maker! Shipping costs are alot though.... it always is when you order stuff from Hawaii.

Also, while googling, I found several videos on You Tube about Dole Whip.. here's the link for the video podcast.

I think I may have to order some mix!!! One package makes LOTS of Dole Whip!!

I just found out they had a Dole Whip booth at the texas state fair...which ended LAST week!!!

darn it! good thing I'm headed to DW today :)

I am so craving a dole whip rite now ! !

To the poster who said they never new what they were and didnt want to ask becaus they were embarasses they had been to WDW so many times and didny know about it, dont feel bad. I had been to the world over 15 times before I ever heard of them. This year I asked about 10 random CM in the kingdom and none knew what they were.:confused3

Can you find them in the other parks or just MK?

I'm sure most of you know this but in case you don't Dole is the sponsor of the Enchanted Tiki Room, which is why it's sold in that location. (At least that's the way it is in Disneyland).:)

Never tried the Dole Whip there (not really a fruity ice cream guy) but I love the pineapple juice there. It really quenches a thirst! Of course I'm sure I can convince the wife to try it.
