Dole Whip Whereabouts

Ok Ive heard all about how good a "DOLE WHIP" is and how some member of this group was singing and skipping about a "DOLE WHIP" BUT............. just what exactly is it and where can I find one???? Sounds YUMMY!!! Shay

You can find it at MK in Adventureland at Aloha Isle.

Dole Whip is a non-dairy, whipped sorbet like treat and it comes in Pineapple (my FAVORITE!) vanilla and chocolate. You can have the vanilla and pineapple swirled which is AWESOME and you can also get a float with pineapple juice and Dole Whip in it. I think it's either fat free or low fat - which is a great bonus 'cause then you don't have to feel as guilty when you eat one like you do when you eat a Mickey bar - (23 grams of fat!?!? Yikes!!!)

O.k. so I didn't need to know there is 23 grams of fat in a Mickey Bar. I remember a CM telling me all the food in WDW has no calories--so I'm am going to go on that information, thank you very much!!!

Yes I agree with you about the calories. I am under the understanding that any food that is consumed in the Orlando area is fat free and has no calories. I watch what I eat 47 weeks a year, at Disney I just eat.

Be prepared to wait in line. Each year we go (usually May), there's a huge line. I've usually passed it up because of this. However, this year, I'm going to be a trooper! I'm not going home until I have my Dole Whip.

Even if there is a line - wait for a dole whip! They are very good and refreshing. After hearing about them on these boards I've had to get one every trip.

We always go in mid-May or mid-June and although the Dole Whip stand isn't deserted, the line has always moved rather quickly and the Dole Whip is always worth the wait!! (and for the record -- the pineapple/vanilla swirl is delicious!) A definite must-have item everytime we are at WDW!

There is also a Dole Whip Float(whip is in pure pineapple juice) that is very refreshing also.
But the nice covered picnic area right next to it is a designated smoking area,which we didn't realize when we sat down.

Sory I mentioned the fat content in those Mickey bars! But I, too, agree that there are NO calories in the Orlando area and I, too eat what I want. My DH and I usually gain 5 pounds, so this year, we're both going to try and LOSE 5 pounds before we go, so when we gain it back, it really won't matter!!!!!!

Losing before departure seems to be the only realistic plan. I am on WW, struggling along mightily, but it's just too hard at WDW. I did the best I could and STILL gained 5 pounds! Between the junk food (everything with FRIES) that is always around, plus the meals that are too good to diet through (BOMA!) the only reasonable plan is to diet BEFORE Mickey and hope to break even!

Thank goodness the DoleWhips are low in fat.

Now there's a thread -- "great treats at WDW that aren't too fattening/bad for you" -- Can anyone think of any? All I can think of is the fresh pineapple with caramel sauce that they offer for dessert at Ohana.

We do WW too--and there is absolutely no counting points at WDW!! We lose before the trip. Last time we went I only gained 2 lbs and my DH gained nothing!!!
Things that are good for you......There has got to be something at the Land in EPCOT.

That's part of the "DISNEY MAGIC" all calories consumed on property reamin on property. LOL

In Hawaii, they have a pineapple and raspberry swirl dole whip and it is "to die for". I wish they would serve it at aloha aisle.

I LOVE Dole Whips!!!! I had my first one on my last trip to WDW. My fiance and I were hot, so we decided to get a coke. He found the Dole Whip stand instead, thank God!!! It is delicious! I don't know what we will do if the stand isn't open when we go in December! LOL!!

I had my first Dole Whip last Dec and it was 40 degrees out!!! I had the float and it was refreshing even if it was cold out. I will getting another one on my next trip. I arrive May 5.
