Sorry to hear your trip is in limbo But hopefully it all works out in the end, even if that means you guys don't get to go this year.

I actually like having some time between trips because there's almost always guaranteed to be something new if you space them out at about 2 years...it'll be 1 year and 10 and half months since my last visit...not to be specific or anything

Limbo is a tough place for me to be, I like to know whether I'm in or out! But we're ok with it either way, it's hard to justify spending money on a trip that's just not what we wanted, even if it is the only way to get to Disney this year.

It's hard for sure. I want to go because it's Disney, so of course I want to get to Disney! But It's hard to justify the money for a trip that's really not what I want. We have big big plans for next year so if we don't get there this year, we will definitely make it amazing next year!

We normally are NOT easy going people to be honest! That will just go to show how much we really don't want this trip. We were guilted and coerced into it (and yes, it was Disney so we had a weak spot to be exploited) and we promised ourselves we would never let that happen again. We're going next year the way we want to (control freak poking her head out, see that? ) and Germany is going to be fantastic. I'm good with it all.

My parents gave them our dates for Disney next year and apparently they're working on it. We will see what happens with that!

Welcome back Kathy! It's true, we weren't really happy with things and it just makes no sense to spend any amount of money (even if the condo IS free!) on a trip we don't want. Germany will be amazing, and next year's Disney trip will be too. If we do end up going to Orlando this year, I'm thinking of taking full control of our own plans and re-vamping it to suit ourselves better!

Aww thank you! Halloween is one of the favourites, I never really expected that but apparently I can't predict at all what people might like!

It's like you are still there I am starting to plan my next trip which will be the in the fall of 2015, and I am taking my mom along who has never been there! That may make for an interesting PTR I just love planning a new trip I've never been there in the fall so that will be new for us too.

Ohhhh that sounds so nice to take your mom on her first WDW trip! We've always gone in the fall, I like it but really, my frame of reference is limited. If you start a PTR, let me know.

Hello again!

First to business: I'm so sorry I'm so far behind on all your reports.

I keep trying to catch up and then the weather turns really nice and the kayaks are calling or the garden, work, the horses, or events. I really am going to try my best to catch up today, and I'm sorry for getting so far behind!

I honestly have nothing new to report.

Johnny is still waiting to figure out what he's doing at work and that might not happen for a little while (though I don't care either way what the outcome is, I'm just going crazy not knowing!) I'm not laying down any more plans while it's up in the air.

Less than 4 weeks until we go to Germany! [Due to the inappropriate nature of ALL Germany themed Disney gifs, you'll just have to imagine a funny little something right here. ] We have lots of plans in place for that trip now. We each ordered a new camera bag too, smallish backpack style ones that will hold a small kit and be a lot easier to carry through the Alps than our shoulder bag. That's a plan by the way, we're spending 3 nights in the Alps in Mittenwald.

I love it there and I can not wait! We're also seeing Tarzan the musical

...and the natural history museum in Frankfurt. I'll do a little report when we get back if anyone is interested in hearing about it.

Another area with nothing new to report is next year's trip. My father called and gave them my dates and they said they would see what they could do... and then he didn't hear back from them.

Anyway, sorry for the complete lack of trip information. Hopefully I'll be back soon with an actual update. Something like whether this trip is actually happening or not!

There's still a chance Mary Ellen, it's about 50/50 right now. It all comes down to two things, whether or not work will be ok with Johnny taking the time off, and whether we can get insurance to cover our flight cancellations.

Well, the postponement is not great, but I'm ok with either outcome. It's definitely not the trip I wanted it to be, I guess we'll see what it ends up being in the end!
Germany is exciting, and I will definitely do a report on it (I've been told rioting is a possibility if not! )
