I just got back from South Carolina. I did a few short walks and a couple of long ones. The first long one was 8 miles at a 15:22 mpm pace. The other one was 9 miles at a 15:20 mpm pace. After the 9 mile walk, I walked another 2 miles along the beach with my husband (but at a much more leisurely pace!) I'm beginning to feel ready for the race except for one problem that I am having. Lately I have been having a lot of pain on the right side of my back, not really back problems more like "trunk" problems. I have been trying to do more excercises to build up my core strength, but it hasn't helped. I didn't have this problem last year at the Princess and I have even lost some weight since then. I think that I am too "well endowed" for all this athletic activity! Any ideas on what to do??

Can't wait to meet everyone that can make it at the DIS meet. It will actually be my first DIS meet ever so I'm excited. (Though I'll be with Liz who is an old pro.)

. I did not want snow before December 20, once my long runs are over. Why? Why?
That is incredible! Do you think 10 milers ever get easy? This is my 3rd half and anything over about 7 miles is still always tough for me
