Hey all, I'm going back to the end of last week to catch up on replies.......
stenogoddess/Lauren~ HHI was gorgeous. It was amazing how many trees were everywhere and how all the buildings blend in. It was not the typical touristy beach town at all, and we LOVED it!
I hope you're feeling better! After being sick this past week and missing training, I understand how you feel. I am back at it now and it feels so good!
mla1977/Megan~ Welcome (again)!

I think that was a brave and smart thing to do, to switch to the half. I'm sure you'll do great and you'll get to that full in time!
Keep doing those weekday workouts, good luck!
french lady/Diane~ Yay for new shoes! I am on my first ever pair of running shoes still. lol (It's only been since Feb this year, afterall). But it'll be a milestone for me when I finally need a new pair!
I won't be doing the 5K that Friday. I'll be resting it up that day (and Thursday.)
Great job on your long runs! That's neat you saw the deer.
Andrea31/Andrea~ Welcome (again!)

It's great having another newbie here! Are you using any training plan?
bunnyfoo/Vicky~ I am so new to all of this still, but it seems like my min per mile increases quite a lot as the distance I go increases. I can do 30 min 5K's but I could not do a 60 min 10K, and so on. So I am curious to see how long my
long training runs end up taking me, and of course the half itself. I just have no idea. The longest run I've ever done was 7 miles in just under 80 minutes, that was back in July.
Great job on your 1 hour 6 miler! I wish I could do that!
Ronda93~ I hope your parents visit went well! I hope your 10K went well today!! I want to hear about it.
Sandy321~ I don't have a garmin either. It's on my wish list. I use my iPhone and an application called Runkeeper to track my runs. It isn't completely accurate though, so I have to sometimes guesstimate what I did. I know the distances around here because I drove them, and I know the time because at least the timer is accurate, so I figure that's adequate.
Thanks for the tips on the photographers on the course.
Keep up the great work, you can do it!!!
ArelysAdriana~ New shoes (and socks) for you too! Are you enjoying them?
How'd your week go with the plan? You know here we are 2 weeks into it, and I didn't do either week as it's written. Didn't do the Saturday run last week since we were out of town and I forgot my running shoes, and this week didn't do 2 runs, and the other 2 were shorter than the plan since I was sick. THIS coming week I will be sticking to the plan, finally!

That's neat about the movie set!
DisneyBride'03/Diana~ That'll be SO fun for Laura to be there at the Finish waiting for you! I'm excited for you!!
I was walking 4 miles per hour before I began running this February (that was just my normal fast walk). I highly recommend the Couch to 5K program if you want to start running, it is wonderful.
We had a 2 bedroom at HHI. It was big. Not as big as OKW, but bigger than SSR/BCV/VWL 2 bedrooms. It has a huge deck with 2 rocking chairs and a big picnic table out there!
"night owl wine & dine"
Please post how your 5K goes next month!
dismagiclover/Jenny~ Way to go on your TWO awesome 8 milers!!! You are doing so great girl!!
We WILL be enjoying MK after the race, you have no choice now. lol
luvsTink/Anne~ I'm sure you can do this. You have 8 more weeks to bring your pace down. Keep on training and you'll make it!!
Dolce27~ Than you for sharing your race report. Congrats on making it through that!!!
I don't understand the whole hydration thing. How do you know what the right amount is to drink?! I drink when I'm thirsty, but I haven't ever done more than a 7 mile run. I know things are different for the longer runs.
I did run on Thursday, but a teeny one: 1 mile, with a half mile walk on each end. Pathetic, I know!
I hope your 14 miles went great today! Doing yoga is such a great idea.
JoanneNC~ So what happened with the sitter who never showed up?? Did you get your 10 miler done on the tm?
Jennifer in MI~ Hey you! I was hoping you hadn't left us! I'm sorry you had the h1n1 thing get to you. I'm sure it was awful. How's everyone doing now? It sounds like you are doing great with the running though!
dislvr74~ Congrats on your half, and your new record! I'm sorry it didn't go as well as you would have liked. You'll do better next time, I'm sure! Thank you for sharing that.
Too funny abour that nightmare! At least it wasn't running related! lol
SGcruiser~ My plan only goes up to 26 miles at it's peak week (which is the week of December 14th). This coming week I'm scheduled to do 16. My weekly miles will never be high for long. You are right, we'll be fine!
Duanerice~ Thanks for the post.
dsnyfan21/Tracy~ I looked at the Space Coast website, it looks like a fun race. Enjoy your taper!
MapleGirl~ I'm sure your being sick had something to do with your rough running this week. I know it makes ALL the difference in the world to me. My run this past Thursday was dinky, I walked half a mile, ran a mile, walked half a mile!!! My being sick this week sucked the energy out of me so much. How did your 4 miler go yesterday?
Great job on the "extra" 3 miles today, and in the rain too!
queen mimi/Meg~ I hope your runs in SC go well!
I would love to do the Princess Half next year too...I have to see how my first one goes before I even consider another though.
I think I'm caught up now.
