Doing the doc dance - 2/21/04

We booked through DU and received our documents via UPS a moment ago for our 2/21/04 7 day Eastern cruise.

BTW - our docs were sent directly from Disney Cruiselines and not from Dreams Unlimited for those of you that are expecting a delay of docs because of third party handling. No delay here!

I'm sure this probably goes without saying, but I will say it anyhow...Check your docs upon arrival. I recieved ours on Friday for the 2/7 sailing. Mine were there, but my daughter's were not. I phoned DVC who in turn phoned DCL and discovered that DD's had been sent to another (unbeknownst to myself) address. We have sailed DCL five times in the past, my daughter has always lived with me, yet they communicated that they were sent to an alternate address that was on file for her. An address that is completely unfamiliar to my family.
Anyone including (gasp) DCL can make mistakes. The new docs are supposed to be on their way.

Our docs checked out. As soon as I opened my box of docs, I sent an IM to my stepson letting him know his should be on his doorstep when he gets home. Crossing my fingers that the tickets for his room arrive without a problem.

I checked our front porch when I got home from work for our documents and sadly they weren't there. Now, that your documents arrived, I will check our porch daily! I can't wait to receive them! I am anxious to do the document dance!

Morning All-
It would be a plesant surprise if mine come today. Wind Chills are to be -45. These would cause sweet dreams. I have started my "Cruise Nightmares". You know, forgetting luggage, missing the plane....

Well better start working, that's how cruises get paid for!

That's technically an 80 degree difference! It's supposed to be cold like this the rest of the week. I just left my DMIL a message to look for her Docs. I hope mine are mailed directly rather than to Liberty Travel. They have not done anything to earn their commission, it has been one problem after another. I will NEVER book with them again.

If it makes anyone feel any better, we just received our DCL docs yesterday afternoon for our 2/1 Wonder cruise booked through DVC. Boy that made the -4 degree temp feel a little better!

My FIL booked last years cruise using points and DVC. Their documents came later than ours due to the fact they can not send documents until points are released which is later than the due date for final payment if you are purchasing a cruise. Still doesn't make sense to me but what do I know...except I'm doing the doc dance!

They send all paid cruise documents out at the same time so I would not be concerned as we are sailing before you and we are just now getting our docs.
