Hi,

My family will be doing the the Fantasmic dinner package at the river Bell Terrace. I have a couple of questions. For the sit down meal, what is the menu like,is it good? After Fantasmic are people allowed to stay in that area to see the Fireworks at night?

Thanks for your help!

I have not personally eaten there so I can't comment on the food (I've heard mixed reviews), but yes, you are allowed and even encouraged to remain in place for fireworks. They put the water screens up and do the projections there and even have a few small bursts of fireworks there.

I ate there in April. Food was okay. Not really worth the price foodwise, but combined with the area you get to sit for fantasmic it was good. The reality is it is a high turn over restaurant, they are not cooking each meal one at a time like a normal restaurant. It is more a cafeteria where they cook in huge batches.

As far as after the show, yes you for sure could stay for the fireworks. But it might be a little hectic as everyone around you (hundreds of people) are going to be leaving.

All that being said, I am glad I did it once. We are going back in October and I won't be doing it again.

We also ate there in April and enjoyed it. Yes, it's expensive for what you get, but so is every dining experience at Disneyland. If I remember right, the choice is New York Strip with Cajun Shrimp Skewer (this is what we had), some kind of herb chicken breast, and a pasta dish. The beef and chicken are served with potatoes and veggies and rolls which were really tasty if I remember right. Deseret was a chocolate mouse cake or an individual apple pie. The best part was the view for the show without the wait or FP (since it was only showing once while we were there and we arrived too late to get a FP for the first show).

We did stay in place to watch the fireworks but it was the old show.

DF and I have gone there a couple times, and while it is more expensive that it probably should be, we were pleased with our food. There are only a couple choices on the menu, so you'll definitely want to take a look before you go to make sure there is something you'll like.

As far as the entrees, I can only speak about the pasta dish, it was pretty good. The vegetables went beyond the peas/carrots I expected and the pasta wasn't over-cooked. I also really enjoyed the corn chowder starter. The desserts were nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about, either. Oh, and while a lot of it must be cranked out in big batches, they were able to modify the pasta dish for me, so there is clearly some fresh cooking happening.

And, as PPs have said, you can stay in the area to watch the fireworks. Unfortunately, the view isn't always the best due to positioning and other people who might decide NOT to stay.
