Hi all!

My family is leaving for Disney World at the end of the month and will be arriving on November 1st- we are so excited!!!! I have two daughters, but we're not telling them we're leaving for the trip until hours before. Therefore, I am responsible for packing both of their suitcases- easy for my 8 year old, not so much for my 11 year old. My eldest has reached the age where half of her closet ends up on the floor before she can decide on an outfit just to go to the grocery store ;-).

Anyone have any suggestions/ideas/must-haves that should be taken on this trip? I have no idea what to expect weather-wise- sounds like warm days with chilly mornings/evenings.

I'm especially interested in what to take clothing/footwear wise?

Thanks in advance for any feedback ;-)

I completely understand how difficult it would be to pack for your older daughter since I too have a daughter that age and know the frustrations they have choosing outfits! We have been to Disney twice in November and love the weather. The mornings and evenings are cool so a jacket is a must, layers also are a good idea. The days will be warm so I typically put the kids in shorts/skirt, maybe capris if it's not too warm. My girls prefer to wear flip flops or sandals but I pack a pair of sneakers for them just incase they need them. We have experienced an extreme cool evening while watching the parade & fireworks, we actually were wearing hats and gloves and we are from the northeast! But that was unusual so you probably won't experience anything like that. I would pack a pair of pants and maybe a long sleeve shirt or two to be on the safe side. How are the crowds in early November?

Also enjoy your trip I will be very upset of you don't come back and tell us all about it!

We have been the second and third week of November and the crowds were very manageable.

Thanks so much for your replies! We are very excited. I'm hoping that early November will bring manageable crowds. We're going during both the Food and Wine Festival and "Jersey week." Hopefully this combination won't lead to big crowds

Anyone have any good recommendations for footwear? I have sneakers that I'm bringing for sure, but I must say that I am a flip-flop girl. I've been checking out Sanuk and Keen sandals?

Thank you thank you! Yes- seems like dressing in layers is the way to go! We like to wear flip flops as well, but usually my girls will just wear cheap-y Old Navy flips...... not sure they will hold up so well with the long days?
Now.... what does Mama usually wear?? Ha ha- I don't know what to pack for myself either... I like to think of myself as normally very fashionable, so I want to look cute, but still be comfortable :-) We're you comfortable in jean capris or did you steer more towards shorts?

Hi everyone! I love all your suggestions. I'd love to know if anyone has traveled to Disneyworld in May and has packing suggestions for early in the month. Thanks for the help!
