I put my Loew's number on the on-line reservation form. Does that do any good, or do I still need to call. If so, do I just tell them I want to add my Loew's number (even though it should already be there) and then ask them for an upgrade?

Well, here's me and my hubby. I'm sportin' a new "do," but it's not that much different. I took a photo of Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction to my hairdresser, so that's my new "do."

Other than that, this is typically where we can be found, right where this photo is -- Finnegan's, at the bar, hangin' with some of the best bartenders in FL

Excellent! I can't seem to find too many of us together at UO, because we're always taking pics of each other. We are at HRH as well. We used to like Finnegan's, but we haven't been since they changed their Happy Hour specials (we don't like Bud or Bud Lite). Now, we usually go to NBA City or Nascar or Margaritaville for Happy Hour. We like Pat O'Brien's too, except we can only go one night, or else I get annoyed listening to the same song and requests over and over. Here's a tip: for some reason, the piano players don't seem to like it when you tip them $20 not to play any Billy Joel (or I've tried Elton John too). Apparently, it takes them more than $20 not to do that!

Here's one of us, and I'm, um, drinking plain old straight cranberry juice. Yep, taste it yourself. Nothin but good ole cranberries:

if you booked on line and have the loews number listed, you should be good to go.

sometimes when you book on line, it doesn't get caught and placed on the ressie. when that happens if no upgrades are available when you check in, you can be out of luck.

to be on the safe side, i would call and see if they booked you for the upgrade.

depending on what level of loews card, will give a priority.


when i booked by phone, i was guaranteed the upgrade. it is on my ressie.

if i wait until i go and hrh will be at full capacity, i might not get the upgrade as they have been booked prior by others.


i always book the cheapest room, and get the upgrade for free.

the free perks such as upgrades from loews, happen when you book with AAA discounts or rack rate.

if you book with fl resident or aph, it does not qualify you for the loews perks.

i think we are still blue members and i called to ask if they had aph rate for our trip....she said only king suite was left available at aph rate...and then she said, "actually, we're about totally booked for the month of June" holey moley!

in 2004, many could book at hrh 6 weeks prior and get the room of their choice. since then, the rooms go quickly and especially when the rates are lowered.

don't laugh but i ususally book my early october stay at hrh in january.
i watch the rates to modify the ressie for the time up to when i go.

i believe it that june is booked like that bubba's mom. more companies are doing their conventions at hrh the last 2 years. in 05, circuit city booked probably over 100 rooms. they had a contest and brought 130 top sales people and their guests to stay at hrh.


you should call loews yearly to make sure they are crediting you all the number of days you stay on site. i didn't do that until 2004 and lost some of my credits. loews told me they can only go back 24 months to give you the credit on stays. a few of my stays did not get into the computer due to a glitch. took me longer to move up the color card then.

AlexandNessa, DH thinks I'm crazy for looking for DISers at the parks, LOL. I'll PM you when it gets a little closer to our departure. I'd love to have a drink with you guys! (And no Bud or Bud Light for us, either ... Harp, Bass, Rolling Rock, Guinness, or Hurricanes are our preference. I do keep some Grey Goose and tonic in the room, too).

I said, "Look," and I pulled up the food porn thread and showed him the nachos -- his most favorite when dining out. His eyes popped out of his head and he just had the biggest smile

Yes, definitely PM me as it gets closer. We don't arrive till the afternoon of the 3rd (just 49 days from now, but who's counting? ), but if our room isn't ready, we'll likely be at the HRH pool bar until we can get settled into the room!

You know, the Margaritaville Nachos get a lot of hype on these boards, and I do believe that they are good (when they don't come out cold), but we like the HRC Nachos equally as much. Really, our favorite is the French Dip at HRC. Yum!
