Has anyone ever joined one of those companies to find who is calling your phone?
Some offer the service ro .99c and yet I'm very leery of anything like this.
Anyone know of a way to find them free?
I would really like to find a couple numbers though... so anyone have any ideas?
TIA! :goodvibes

I don't think there is any directory for cell phone numbers or even unlisted numbers. The .99 is for listed residential and business numbers that are in the phone book but not on those "who called me" lists.

If it is a cell number I am pretty sure you are out of luck.

If it's a telemarketers # you're looking for, try googleing it. Otherwise, there are free services out there, but I can't think of any right now. I usually start with Google and go through several sites til I find the info.

I have used it once. It was a few dollars at the time (a few years ago). The one I used did track cell phones, which is what I needed. I can't remember which site I used though.

I use Poynt its an app for my smart phone and its free. It has reverse number but it doesn't always work with cell phone numbers. It completely depends on the carrier but it does show some. Also try googling the number, if the person used their phone number any where on the web it usually shows up.

When I was getting prank phone calls from a kids cell phone, I paid 14.95 to find out the owner. It gave me Dads name and I was able to contact Dad to let him know that his son had been prank calling me for months. I hated to spend the money, but the kid was super annoying.

I never heard from them again and never got another call from the kid. I kinda felt the Dad should have offered to repay me the money, after I told him how I found him, but I was just glad the calls stopped.

Thanks, ALL !

I did google but nothing :(

Am leery about paying so if anyone thinks of a free site, please post.

Have you tried answering the phone to find out who they are and what they want?
