Doin it in Style @ The Poly! September 2010 Here we Come!!!

I got an Iphone4 :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Pointless update I know but an excuse to see how everyone is doing? :)

:yay: wow!

A few weeks ago I convinced myself I 'needed' to get a new phone and that an iPhone was the way to go.. then suddenly Apple announced version #4 so I've decided to wait a month or so and get one... maybe! just hope my old handset holds out lol.

Do you have any Disney apps yet?! :wizard:

Emma princess: x

We are not going to the venue on Saturday anymore as our helper/friend didn't think much of it and thought it wasn't really us. Which is fine with us as we both like this other place more at the moment :)

My boss came in today and his first words to me were "did you get your phone? How is it? How much was it?" He only got his 3GS 3 months ago or so, so no upgrade for him :P

I haven't added any new apps yet to be honest. Stefy and I took advantage of a buy one get one half price offer at Clinton cards and have £100 of iTunes vouchers between us for when she gets her iPhone and something else she is wishing for her birthday ;)

I do have Toy Story Mania and something called Disney Fireworks but that's it.

Like Dave says we have cancelled our appointment for tomorrow at one of the venues, but still have the appointment for the other on Monday. So will keep you guys posted.

The iPhone 4 is rather nice, but not as round or smooth feeling as the 3GS. I will hopefully get mine next week as I can't upgrade until Sunday, so have had to preorder one for when they get more in stock.

Should have an update for you guys soon, stay tuned :)

Hi Guys :wave2:

How are we all doing this weekend?

Sorry I have been lacking in the update department, but thats all about to change.

Me and Dave went to Oxford Street today to get the last pin from the Sword Set (pictures to follow), we spent ages in the store and ended up spending way too much money. But it was fun :teeth: This is what we got:

These were half price, I also got another one of each online the other day, so now I have a set of four. Will go nicely in our new subtly Disney themed home (when we get one). I also bought this:

006-5.jpg

I also bought two more similar ones online as well, a Pooh Bear one and a Mickey & Co one.

This is cool

It turns into this when you put it in water

I also bought Dave these little guys

I thought Dave had taken a pic of the pin he bought today, but instead he took this, the newest one is Mulan

009-7.jpg

Thats the whole set, might find a nice way to display them. Apparently, when they first came out there was a pin trading event and you could buy them all and a shield display.

Some other bits and bobs that I wasn't able to update were these, which were bought a couple of weeks ago.

When I was having trouble with my original wedding venue I was quite stressed and upset so Dave bought me this to cheer me up

and last, but not least, my t shirt of the month

Can't wait to wear it when we go to see Toy Story 3 next month :teeth:

Got some more updating to do, which I will be working on shortly, so for now

TTFN :tigger:

WOW! You've got a little treasure trove there...great buys. I love the Minnie/Mickey cups and bowls.

Thanx, they are awesome right :teeth: I saw them ages ago in store and said to Dave we have to get these for our place.

They also have an Eeyore design and a Tigger one, but I preferred the Mickey and Minnie ones mostly. They also had egg cups, but we don't really use them so didn't bother with those.

Now all we need is somewhere that stocks similar items for the other rooms in the house and we are good to go :teeth:

You have been quite busy with the purchases! I LOVE the sword pin collection. How cool!

What? No cupcakes today? :confused3

Lol, no no cupcakes. We are trying to be good right now as we have alot of food to consume in Sept/Oct so need to prepare for that

The pin set is pretty cool. Wish I could find a shield type display case for him.

Just got all caught up again! Man, was I behind - I hate it when school doesn't leave me enough time for the DIS!!!

:scared1: I didn't know you were having such trouble with your wedding venue! Lots of pixie dust for you, so you'll find something super special!

Now, that is some great shopping you have done - love the mickey and minnie cups and bowls!
And your new T-shirts! :thumbsup2 How many have you got by now - I guess more than days in your trip! ;)

Hope the rest of your weekend is going to be awesome! :thumbsup2

Glad you are all caught up, I know what its like to get behind :)

I love the bowls, wish they had more home type stuff there, but not to worry as thats what World of Disney is for right ;) :teeth:

Yes it wasn't very nice what I had to deal with on the original venue, but we are to check out another one on Monday and I will be taking lots of pics to share with you guys :) Dave is also going to shoot a video on his new phone (which he is obsessed with - but thats ok *** when I get mine I will be the same  ) so we will show that to you guys too.

He also tested the video out today and he filmed a bit of London (on the bus on the way home), I will get him to upload and share with you guys :)

Tomorrow should be a great day as it is forecast to be one of the hottest days so far this year and the England v Germany game is on, so we will be down the pub for that
:teeth:

Hope y'all are having a good one too :)

Ok time for a proper update that actually has something to do with this PTR.

A few things have happened in the last few weeks. Firstly we are nearly in the three month exact mark woo hoo! Not much to celebrate about, but at least its getting closer :teeth:

Secondly, we have decided to forgo US and IoA this year. Dave has been reading the craziness about WWOHP and how there are lines that are 7hrs long to get into IoA :scared1: So we have decided to skip those parks this year and will now be using that day to have a proper Food and Wine Day. We are going to go around the world and sample all the different flavours the stalls have to offer.

I have cancelled our Tusker House breakfast as we were unable to change the time to something earlier and we weren't that fussed about going, so we cancelled. One good ADR change however would be CRT. I was browsing times and thought I would see if 8:30pm was available on the day we were booked to eat there (our original time was 5:15) and low and behold I managed to snag an 8:30pm :woohoo: Was quite pleased with myself if I do say so.

We nearly bought tickets for another MNSSHP night, but when we tried to rearrange our ADR's etc it turned out we couldn't. But not to worry as I have been researching all the tips etc and I think we have a plan down. Just need to make sense of my notes and write something down in the planning book and then I will share with you guys to see what you think :)

Think thats about it, all I need to do now is finish off the planning book and post some more bits and bobs as and when :)

So how many of you have seen Toy Story 3?

Can't wait to see the video of London - one of my all time favourite cities!

We all seem to have the same ideas lately. :lmao: Tom and I have decided that we will not go to UO/IOA either. We might drive over to citywalk and have lunch at Bubba Gump's one day, but with all the horror stories of long lines we just don't want to visit the parks this year. I've planned a 4 night stay at the Royal Pacific Hotel next year, so this is when we will see HP!

PLEASE, yes take lots of photos of any possible venues! I am sure you'll find something real wonderful! Everything happens for a reason! :goodvibes

Hi Stefy!

Lol I've not seen TS3 yet ;) ... only 4 more weeks to wait for us now! I'm trying soo hard not to read reviews/spoilers but it's hard when my American friends on DIS and facebook have posted things about it hehe! :cutie:

DF and I went to Guildford today and I had to pop in the Disney Store (of course!) and I looked at that exact same Mickey mug! ... but they had sold out of the Minnie ones.. I kind of wanted the pair, so decided not to buy them lol.

And where is that minnie & daisy vest top from?! love it!!

Think that sounds like a plan for skipping Universal this trip.. I couldn't believe the news about opening day at WWoHP last weekend :scared1: madness.
I must admit, I'm not a HP fan (not seen any of the films or read any of the books! :rolleyes1) so I'm not dying to go there... but that new ride does sound very impressive, sure I'll head back over to Universal one day - they are good parks; they're just not Disney! :wizard:

luv & pixie dust,

I've been reading about how long the lines are. Mark and I are not big Universal fans anymore (we're just getting too old for all those "thrill" rides), but we do enjoy the old side (have never read or seen any of the HP books/movies so no interest there either). I think it is great that you will have a F&W full day; and :woohoo: for being able to change your CRT adr.

I've not seen Toy Story 3 (I still have to watch #2). Andy did see it last week and he said it was really good.

Having a bit of a problem at the moment with the video, its uploaded but the quality hasn't come out in HD. Are working on it and will post as soon as its done :)

We have decided to visit WWOHP next year, so hopefully the hype will have died down by then. When are you visiting next year?

Thats cool that you guys will still go to Citywalk, I know how you love Bubba's :teeth:

Yes photos will be aplenty. You know I have never actually wanted my weekend to end as thats just crazy talk, but I really really want to go and see this place :hyper:

Hellosies

I have not read anything on it either, do not want to be spoiled at all :)

Cool that we have both looked at the same thing in the Disney store. I would suggest getting them online if you really want them as they are really cool :thumbsup2

That top I got in Westfield when me and my friend were killing time before seeing Sex and the City 2. Its from a store called Blanco. Was a cool find as that store has some really nice things in it reasonably priced as well :)

I am a little bit sad about skipping US and IoA, but I know that I will not be able to handle the crowds that have been reported, December in Disney was bad enough :sad2: But you should check it out at some point as they are really cool parks and if DF is a comic fan he will enjoy IoA and you can't not love US, but I know what you mean about them not being Disney :)

Yeah its not too big a loss not going this year and like you say F&W for the whole day will be great. I plan to try an entree and dessert from each country and something alcoholic :teeth: Sooooo going to the French cart for some champagne (starting to get a taste for the stuff now - hee hee!)

You haven't seen the second one? Oh you must watch, just to see how Jessie and Bullseye come into it and then go and see the third one :teeth:

oh yup I have been to IoA and US a few times... last summer we went over there for three days while in Orlando with DF's family!
I love Spiderman, Simpsons, Mummy, Duelling Dragons (or what it's called now?!), Hulk and most of US ... it was the first american theme park I ever went to.. in 1993, aged 8!
You must be sad to miss out on WwoHP this year, but you know you'll be back :goodvibes and.. a day to experience the F&W festival at Epcot will be sooo good!!

(off to disneystore website to check out those mugs... !!)

Same here .... we hope that the hype will have died down by next summer and plan on spending 4 days there after our cruise on the DREAM Aug 25 - Sept 1. Guess we'll stay at the Royal Pacific from Sept 1 to 5 and then spend another week at WDW. Complete travel date hopefully will be Aug 13 - Sept 10.
No visit to Orlando would be complete without a visit to Bubba's! :rotfl2:

Hope this new place you are going to visit is what you are looking for! :thumbsup2, but PLEASE don't rush the weekend - I am tired already and there is still so much work to do! ;) :lmao:
