So I'm TDY to Edwards AFB for a week, and we were planning on renting a car and driving from Lancaster (where we're staying) to Disneyland for the day if we get a day off. Today was supposed to be our day off, but they put us on the flying schedule for today, and as I was driving onto the base with my other crew chief, we got a call from our flight crew that today's mission was cancelled. Ain't that a kick in the pants? Since the park's only open until 8:00 tonight, there's really no point in making the 2+ hour drive and spending the admission money for what won't even be half a day.
Well we've still got a few days here, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can make it down to DLR for a day, because I still haven't been there since summer of '03...
