Hi All,
I'm a newb, so sorry if this has been discussed. I haven't been to FW since I was a kid and we bought an RV a year ago, so I'm always contemplating places to go with it! We camp with our dogs (i.e. no kids), so I don't know how soon DW will be at the top of our travel list, but I remember loving FW as a kid so I'm doing some research.

Anyway, I see lots of discussion about golf carts and looping. Sounds fun, but are you allowed to take dogs on your cart (assuming, of course, that your dogs are chill and can ride on a cart without endangering themselves or others)? What if it's a rented cart? And I've been reading all the dog posts, but still don't have a clear picture - are you only allowed to walk dogs (on the roadway) in certain areas of the campground? We do a lot of "looping" by foot when we camp to give our dogs lots of exercise - is this not an option at FW?

Thanks!

First off, welcome.

Since the new dog park the fort has allowed dogs to be on the golf carts. They can also walk on the sidewalks. There are also dog walk areas. The only place I don't walk with them is in the non pet loops. These are distinguished by NOT having poo bag dispensers as you enter. You are gonna have a very happy pup on your hands.

You also cannot take them to public places such as rthe trading posts, marina, etc. There should be a writeup on dog regulations somewhere, but since the split in forums, I can't tell you where or who would have the info.

We bought a buggy for our sweetie,,we call it "Bailey's Buggy",,and she darn well knows it's her's too, :lmao:
