My dog had a thing the size of a marble under his tail(he is an Eskie so his tail curls up). This wasn't there last week, and he does have small (size of a pea) fatty tumors, but this is really different. Do you think it might be a cyst? Do doggies get such things? TIA :dog:

Where exactly under his tail. It could be a blocked gland.

I don't know exactly what it is but my dog has fatty tumors all over his body, some are small and some are bigger - almost silver dollar size. The vet watches them but says not to worry.

It is literally at the base of his tail on the underside, where it begins to curl up about 1" above his rectum(sorry to be graphic) :dog:

They do get 'em. Moondoggy, (my greyhound) had a bump, like marble sized on his side. The vet removed it when Moon was under in for other surgery and it turned out to be a benigh cyst ... but it's always a good idea to check it out.

They do get cysts - Peabody has one on the back of his skull the size of a pea. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any bigger and have the vet check it out the next time you go.

Impacted anal glands have knots about the size of a BB. I have a dog who is prone to this (actually the second dog I've owned who had the same problem), and hers have never gotten any larger than a BB.
