Dog Grooming Coupons

Hi,

I was looking for Dog Grooming Coupons and saw that Pet Smart (where we normally take our furbabies) takes competitors coupons. I only found a $5 off coupon and that was IF you bought a holiday toy. If you see any grooming coupons I would appreciate the link. We are trying to minimize our expenses now that I am retiring from the military and haven't found a new job yet. Our furbabies are a maltese and yorkie/maltese so they need regular grooming. Poor babies, I have tried a few times to groom them myself but it didn't not turn out very pretty.

PETCO did have a new year mini makeover for $20 but that only included a brush out, nail trim, and bow. We normally get the Top Dog package that includes the full service package that includes everything. We already started extending the time between grooming to save money not going as often but this breed really does need regular grooming.

My other option is to try to find maybe someone who grooms dogs from their home that may be cheaper? I don't know why I just don't have the skills to groom them where they look decent. I bought the clippers and tried that, tried scissor only and neither came out well.

I have two Maltese and groom them myself. I invested in Andis UltraEdge 2-Speed Clippers, a pair of regular shears and a pair of blending shears (from Pet Edge) and never looked back. My only regret is that now I have to groom them myself. LOL The equipment paid for itself after I groomed each dog twice...and that was 5 years ago. Sure, they didn't look perfect at first, but I got better with time. Their hair grows so fast if you do a terrible job, it will only be a few weeks before you can try again. I think you should just keep trying to do it yourself. You'd get better at it.

I've never seen any grooming coupons aside from Petsmart/Petco. Finding a local groomer would likely be less expensive and they probably would also do a much better job.
