Dog Food

We use blue buffalo. My dog Hobbes is Diabetic so we can't really go with the cheaper stuff.

Before my diabetic dog died last year I switched him to Orijen. It is pretty pricey, but it helped a lot with managing his blood sugar. My vet was surprised by it.

Laura66, here he is at 14 weeks. He's 16 weeks tomorrow.

I was feeding Taste of the Wild but my picky pants Westie decided he was tired of it after a couple of years. I switched to Rachel Ray's Grain Free and he gobbles it up. We do the grain free because he shares food with my mom's Scottish Terrier who has allergies. I do like that I can get the Rachel Ray at the grocery store without a special trip to Tractor Supply.

He's adorable!!!! Too bad you don't live near me! He's only a few weeks older than Jack - who loves to play! Our Rustle is not amused and a bit out of sorts over the new living arrangements!

I know! It would be so nice to live near a fellow Diser with a Cavalier to boot! I have read that Cavaliers are great with other dogs so once he gets past the jealousy I'm sure he will become a great big brother to him.

They both love other dogs! I'm sure when the puppy calms down Rustle will enjoy him!

Our dog eats Fresh Pet. We get it at PetSmart in the refrigerated case. It lasts about a week and costs $11.00. It isn't cheap but at least she will eat it.

Our dog is 13/14 yrs old, a german shepherd cross. We've tried several dry brands over the years, from lower end to higher end. But for the past 3-4 years she's been on Pedigree (different varieties) and has been great on it. However, I've stopped buying the canned dog food (we used to buy the higher priced fresh ones as well) and now I make my own for her. Much cheaper and so easy. Brown rice, ground turkey or chicken and peas (and sometimes other veggies). She's been doing great on it and I've been doing that for about the past 18 months.

We will be getting an 8 week old Miniature Goldendoodle weighing approx 25-30 max in June. I have had 2 dogs before this one and fed them both Purina or Pedigree. They both lived long lives and our golden retriever who passed away 4 weeks ago lived almost 15 years.

I am not posting this to be flamed for what we all choose to feed our dogs b/c I know there are millions of dog owners out there. I would like to know what would be budget friendly and yet good quality in the $20-30 range.

Tractor supply company is really good at dog food. Cheaper brands that are as good or better than the expensive brands

I feed my goldens Nutro Ultra. They love it and gives their coat that luscious shine. The large bag is about $55.
