Wasn't there a website where they rate different types of dogfood? For the life of me I can't find doing a search sorry....

We use

http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/

and wanted to add that we use Kirkland Lamb and rice a 4 star rated food for $26 for the big bag!

My dog did better on Kirkland than anything. Costco is just so far. :( I am feeding Blue Buffalo now which is $50 for a not as big bag. Coat, weight, health all better on Costco I think. But, he likes Blue better.

I give my dog Nutro, it's pretty highly rated and the only one I know of not recalled a few years back. It's sold at PetSmart for $45 for the big bag.

I'd give Kirkland a try but I don't want to change foods on her at this point in her life (she's 11 and unfortunately won't be with us much longer :( ).

I love that I buy the Kirkland for my dog at $21.99 per bag I think and it has the same rating as my friend who buys Innova for her dog at $55+ per bag. My dog is doing great on Kirkland and we have been really happy with it so far.

Our golden retriever eats Kirkland food and her coat is so shiny. She seems to love it, right now she is on the the Healthy Weight one because she got just a little chubby from life's indulgments :rolleyes1. The vet says is very good food.

All three of our dogs love the Costco Kirkland Lamb food. They really do well on it and with 3 dogs the cost savings has been huge!

I was shocked to see that we feed our Beagles a 6 star food! They do eat pretty good.

:)

I would like to know who the poor human is in charge of tasting all the dog foods. I guess the only other way would be to find a talking dog.

Have you looked at Wellness? Its pretty highly rated and you can buy it at Pet Supplies Plus, Petsmart (small and large bags, but not medium size) and at Petco. We feed Wellness and I've been super happy with it. Its a bit cheaper than Blue Buffalo if I remember correctly.

I run a beagle rescue and have quite the herd of my own. Our dogs eat Nature's Recipe, and we mix in a bag of Blue Buffalo. Its(Nature's Recipe) a middle of the road in terms of ratings but has great ingredients and a great value to boot. :thumbsup2

If I had only one or 2 dogs, they would be eating the top notch dog food because truly GOOD food is the most important thing you can do for your pets.

I have 7 dogs and feed 4health. It is made for Tractor Supply Company and has a 4 star rating on dogfoodadvisor. I cannot find it on the other site. My dogs do great on it and it's $25 for a 35 lb bag.

We have a couple puppies that are on wellness right now. Im hoping to switch to kirkland after they reach a year old. For years our adult labs were on kirkland lamb and rice. Unfortunately kirkland does not have anything for puppies.

I was there last week and our store had Puppy food from Kirkland. I believe it was chicken and brown rice.

Had to add we switched to Kirkland when I realized the dogs were eating better than we were.
