Doesn't everybody have Disney on speed dial? Seriously? Mickeystoontown does! 5/14

Those were my pictures :). I honestly don't know if Wreck it Ralph is still meeting there. I keep up with the information at Disneyland because we go there more frequently. The trip to WDW just fell into my lap last year.

That's awesome! I'll live vicariously through your pictures if we aren't able to meet them.

Lisa, did you see this? I just saw this this morning, and this is indeed great news.

Caught up! I hope Hunter didn't get the naked roommate. :lmao: WOW! you change your ressies A LOT. I just made ressies for my October trip. I think they are pretty much set unless the MNSSHPs aren't when I expect them.
I can't wait to hear how the Wishes Dessert Party goes, I'm intrigued and want to make a ressie for one, but have heard that people tend to stand at the railing in front of you. :confused3
Your down day sounds busy! :rotfl2: I've had one trip that was 11 days and I couldn't make myself slow down because it was only my third trip, I think I could slow down now. I don't have that same feeling of, "I may not get here again!" :scared1:

Yay for Hunter on trying out for AI. I know you can reserve an audition time or just show up at park opening. Google the song list and have him prepare a song off the list. There are some decent country songs on the list (if he likes country). Make sure he prepares. There are some good singers that are used to performing that show up there. Have him sing acapella at home recording himself for intonation and pronunciation.

Good luck!

Hi Lisa! :wave2: Just got all caught up on your pre-trip report. We are actually going to be at Disney at the same time. We always went in September until our daughter started college then switched to Dec (after finals). We always preferred going off season and were fortunate that our daughter's K-12 school had a year round schedule....9 weeks of school and 3 weeks off that allowed for late September vacations. Anyway, what is bringing us to Disney on Memorial Day weekend? DD has been accepted into the Disney College Internship fall advantage program!!! :yay:We are arriving May 24th and she checks in on the 27th. This will give us a few days to spend at Disney as a family before she gets really, really busy! When she's not busy becoming a Cast Member (lol) she should be able to spend time with us... Who knows....maybe I'll see you there!

Finally had the time to catch up, been dealing with my little one, I feel like I am teaching her to walk again.

I hope Hunter has a good trip and didn't have to room with the guy.

I am glad you kept BOG lunch, I loved it! I got the croquet monsieur and a strawberry cupcake and they were both delicious especially the cupcake.. mmm so good. I told my sister (She and her daughter are joining us in Sept) that we may have to go so she can see it and I can get another one of the cupcakes.

I love Fantasmic! It is my favorite nighttime show!

You plans sound great! Can not wait to hear more!

Hi I'm here!

I haven't been on the Dis much at all for the past month. I started a new job and have been working 6 days a week. Once school is out for the summer I'll be able to get on more. I spent last night and tonight finishing your tr and catching up on this ptr.

There is to much for me to comment on. I'll just comment on 2 things. Yippie that Lacey and Jesse came for Easter! and I hope Hunter doesn't have to room with the naked guy:laughing:

I'm hoping I can keep up until you leave.

I'm sending you a PM

Hey Kathy! Got the PM and responded. Thanks for letting me know that you sent it. I oftentimes don't get notifications of my messages.

Yay for the new job! I know that you are happy to finally find something.

We were happy to see Lacey & Jesse since we hadn't seen them since Christmas. Hunter didn't have to room with the naked guy! He was so happy!

Hey! Good to see you!

That's one of the items that I pre-ordered from BOG. I'm happy to hear that it was a good choice.

Late to the party but so glad to read your latest PTR!!!:yay:

Never ever too late! Welcome!

Oh my gosh! How cool is it that your daughter was accepted into the Disney College Program! Hunter wants to do that.

If you see us, please stop and say hey!

Thanks so much for sharing the info! I'm going to look into the song list and pass along the tips.

Yes m'am, I have made a lot of changes and would make one more if I could change around Hoop Dee Doo.

I'm hoping that we get a good seat at the dessert party and don't have to crowd around or be crowded around. (did that make sense?)

We used to go go go during our trips but, over time, we have come to realize that we can slow down and stop and smell the roses, so to speak.

Cancelling it along with our Wednesday Ohana. I have changed just about everything this week. :lmao:

I'm telling ya, we have got to be related.

That's awesome! I'll live vicariously through your pictures if we aren't able to meet them.

I saw that! Now I'm rethinking our FP+ times.

I'm really enjoying your PTR. I love all the surprises! Sent you a PM, so make sure you check for it.

Got it! I'm excited about the surprises! Now if I can just keep my mouth shut about 'em.

How did I miss Subbing? I knew you had a trip coming up!! (I'm here now, though)

See, that SW character dining may get us to Disney when we swore we'd never go. The rest is a lot of crowds, etc, but the chance to eat with a SW character is something DH & I would love (we're some fans here!)

I eagerly await your experiences to see if it would be worth a flying trip - or maybe work one in for 2015.

Hey there! Welcome!

The SWW crowds just aren't what we want to hassle with this year. So, we are skipping it. However, the Star Wars meals are all week long. :thumbsup2

Those were my pictures :). I honestly don't know if Wreck it Ralph is still meeting there. I keep up with the information at Disneyland because we go there more frequently. The trip to WDW just fell into my lap last year.

I think that he was there last year but I don't know if they are still there now. Anybody know?

I agree 100%! My daughter is 5 and has been averaging Disneyland twice a year since she was 3 months old, which I think is pretty good considering we live in Colorado. Unfortunately my husband kind of feels that way, and he's also not really a Disney fan. He's only been to Disneyland with our daughter twice I think, and once with our son. Disney World will probably be a one time trip for us as a family (my husband didn't go last year, I went with my mother and sister in law, as that trip kind of fell into my lap) so he wants to wait until our son is 5 or 6. But I'm not opposed to taking trips with just the kids and I. I grew up going to Disneyland (I lived about 30 minutes away) and I'm bound and determined my kids will do the same! Lol

I guess that I'm lucky that John loves Disney as much as I do. He's just not as vocal about it as I am though. I think that it's great that your kiddos are able to experience Disney. As I said, you'll have those memories even if they don't.

Our H&V ADR is at 7pm. Again...still on the fence about it....

Did you cancel?

Your "off" day looks great. One of Elizabeth's (DD) favorite meals last trip was the Teriyaki-style New York Strip. We both had it and it was great. Can't wait to hear how the dessert party! It sounds like fun, but like your family not sure we would eat enough for the cost.
I can't wait for Hunter's surprise meal. Sounds like a great trip. Only 28 more days or so!

That's the steak that I want to order. Jesse said that it was delicious. Hunter has a sweet tooth the size of his whole head. Hunter and I will probably just nibble. I booked it more for the surprise.

I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WHO CHANGES THEIR ADR'S AS MUCH AS I DO!! :crazy2: At least your trip is coming up pretty soon... ours isn't until September and I've already switched things around about 40 times.

Yep, I change them all the darn time. How many more changes have you made since you posted? ;)

We had such a wonderful time! Universal is different from Disney but fun in its own way. I want to get Keith and Chris there one day to get their take on it. I can't wait to see how you change your plans regarding FPP with the latest announcement...because I know the wheels are turning in your brain now!! :rotfl:

I really really debated adding Universal to this trip but we ultimately decided not to. But, that hasn't stopped me from pricing it out for our first day.

Mickey Mail and Magic Bands! Oh Yeah!

Morning ya'll! Sorry that I'm just now getting around to posting replies and an update. Seems as if our lives are getting busier and busier. Doesn't that always seem to be the case when a trip is approaching? :sad2:

Hunter and the orchestra had a fantastic trip to The Big D. They scored all 1s and received a Superior rating for their performance and have a big ol' trophy to prove it. :cheer2:

After performing at festival, they went to a dinner show and the next day to Six Flags. He came home with a sword, a cape and a tank top. Yep, I said sword and cape. That's my boy...the life of the party and comedian. :p

Oh and he didn't have to room with the guy who sleeps naked. He was so happy!

He realized Monday morning that he had lost his wallet (and my gosh darn money that was in it) between the school parking lot and our vehicle. We are bad parents and are allowing him to drive to school with just his old learner's permit. :rolleyes2 They are doing end of course testing and he has to get to school on time and can't leave early. So, no time to check him out to go get his license replaced. Guess we'll try to do that next week after testing is done. But, even then, we have to get our timing just right because they have projects and presentations that are coming up.

Hunter had an orchestra performance Monday night and had a solo. First time that I've been able to see him perform his solo. In the past, his solos have been during festival or when they do concerts at other schools. He did extremely well and we were all proud of him. He had told the orchestra director that his mom wanted them to play a song from Pirates of the Caribbean and he obliged. I videoed the whole thing and it was amazing! Of course, I'd say that because, duh, he's my kid and it's a Disney song.

In other news, we came away virtually unscathed from the bad weather that passed through our area. There were some downed trees and power outages but nothing too terribly bad. Mama had a huge limb down in her backyard that we haven't taken the chainsaw to and cleaned up yet.

Thankfully, we were able to finish just about all of the planting of the garden last weekend before the rain and high winds came through. I believe that I am right when I say that I planted 45 tomato plants, 14 cantaloupes, six red bell peppers, two rows of butterbeans, two rows of string beans, two rows of purple hull peas, a row of okra (or as we pronounce it in Louisiana...okri), a half row of squash and a half row of carrots. I'm thinking that I'll have to replant the carrot seeds because you basically just lay the seeds down on the ground and cover them. I'm pretty sure that they were washed away. Oh well, I can get that done this weekend if the ground dries out.

The only two rows that are left to plant are one row of tomatoes and a row of assorted flowers and sunflowers. I'm going to plant those on the outside rows of the garden. Mama may be 80 but she still likes to try to work the garden and if we plant those on the outside, she can tend to them. Of course, we aren't telling her that's why we are planting them there. :ssst:

On to the Disney trip planning front....both sets of magic bands arrived on Friday. One set is for our room only reservation and the other is for the package. It took me forever to decide what color to order for myself. I'm one that likes to have everything matching and I couldn't figure out what color to get. I ended up ordering yellow. :confused3 I almost forgot to mention that our other Mickey Mail arrived about a week ago too. Disney is getting ready for my clan and I hope that they are prepared for us! :rotfl2:

Ya'll ready for this? I'm looking at changing one of our ADRs. I think that we may drop Boma altogether. I haven't done it yet but it's a possibility. I really want to go over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and explore some more and, if we drop it, I'm thinking that we may just go over and eat quick service there. There's no real plan though so there's no telling where we'll end up. Knowing us, we may be on a horse or something at Fort Wilderness.

Or, if I could get a 8:30 Cat. 1 seating for Hoop Dee Doo, I'm going to book that. I currently have it set for 8:30 p.m. on the day that we do the Magic Kingdom tour and I think that it would work better for our schedule if I could change it to another day. But, I want to keep the category 1 seating and it's unavailable right now.

Oh and did ya'll know that Beaches & Cream takes dinner ADRs at 10:40 p.m.? Holy moley! Who knew that they accepted them so late? I saw it as an availability when I was checking for the Hoop ADR. There was also one available for 9:50 p.m. I ain't eatin' at 10:00 at night! That's crazy!

Let's see...what else? Hum? :scratchin. I guess that's all of the "new" stuff. I'll get to work on our next day's plans and post it as soon as I can. I'm thinking that it will be a little later on in the day.

Yea for Mickey Mail and Magic Bands! And Hunter not having to room with the naked boy and how great they did. We got all our stuff in to and in the process had our first Disney World meltdown. My youngest decided she didn't like the color she pick and had a fit. She has gotten over it and now ask to wear it everyday. I got a yellow magic band too. I have a yellow phone case so I wanted that to match and I'm on a yellow kick this year.

I'm constantly changing ADRs. Monday I changed our second Epcot day ADR all up. And when I was done I had changed it 4 times and ended up with what I originally started with. And I've been stalking the internet waiting for the Mine Train to open up for FP+.

A cape, a sword and a tank top! That was a productive shopping trip!!

Gettin' close for you now! Our first set of Magic Bands should be here any day as well. They are sending three sets, for our split stay! Somehow that has to be a waste of Disney's money, right? I am right there with you on matching them to your outfit, I ordered pink, red and yellow and I hope they all match my outfits. LOL

We currently have an 8:30 ADR for the HDDR on June 7, but all we could get was a Cat. 2, which is such a bummer!! I am checking back daily for a Cat. 1!

I was really proud of how great Hunter and his fellow musicians did at festival.

Oh no! Thank goodness your daughter got over the "wrong" color choice quickly.

You sound like me....I think that I need to change things up and then come back to the original plan (or very close to it) ::yes::

Hunter had his priorities when it came to souvenirs. :lmao:

It probably is a waste of Disney's money but I'm the proud owner of two different color bands. ;)

I keep checking for Category 1 seats too. I really really would like to change the date of our Hoop ADR. But, if I have to keep it for the 4th to get the Cat. 1 seating, I will.

Wow, congrats to Hunter and his band/orchestra mates! That is fantastic!

Sorry he lost his wallet. That sucks when that happens. :(

You planted a ton of stuff. Want to come up to Wisconsin and do my yard next? I'll you a beer, brat, some cheese, and frozen custard. ;)

And I'm glad you all are safe from the storms. Scary stuff!

Yay for Mickey Mail and Magic Bands, though! I also picked the yellow band, which is weird for me because I love green and always pick it, but decided on something different this time.

Congrats to Hunter's orchestra...that is awesome.

I'm sorry he lost his wallet with his drivers license and YOUR money. I can't count how many times my youngest lost his wallet and license. :furious:

I'm glad you weathered the storms that went through. You sure were busy planting.

You change an ADR? I don't believe it. :joker:

That's me! I want to see the inside of the restaurant but I don't want to have another deadline to get to. Mine is on the 27th too! I think that it's around 1:00. I'll have to go look at my itinerary.

Wahoo! Our FP+ window is 12:40-1:10 Tuesday 5/27. We simply have to meet! Dismeet and BOG photo op all in one! Pencil me in, Lisa pixiedust:

That sucks about hunter losing his wallet maybe some nice person found it and dropped it in a mailbox or something. I lost one once and had it returned to me that way, Canada post has a policy that if a wallet has ID with an address on it they will return it for free.
