Doesn't everybody have Disney on speed dial? Seriously? Mickeystoontown does! 5/14

I've been feeling exactly the same way about our BOG FP+ lunch... What's making me lean toward keeping it is the fact that I just wanna get in that place! For me, it's always about the photo op. The way I look at it, by using the FP I'll be 'saving time'. I'm afraid I'd regret the decision to 'wing it' in the stand by line. What date is yours? I have 5/27.

I don't blame you for skipping Star Wars Weekend. We went last year on the first or second Friday and it was a zoo. So hot and crowded. But my sister in law is a huge Star Wars fan, so we did it for her. And then she didn't want to do anything. But it wasn't a total waste. My daughter (4 at the time) got to ride Star Tours for the first time, and meet Wreck it Ralph and Vanellope, the highlight of her trip!

My son (8 months at the time) was pretty enamored with Vanellope!

Sorry, I couldn't help it, these are some of my favorite pictures from our trip!

Wow, you are just full of surprises, now aren't you?

I like "off" days, but we never seem to get them! Then again, if I had 12 days (!!!) we'd have at least one "off" day!

It bums me out that DHS has so few good CS options and frankly, I'm not in love with most of the TS options either. We ate at Brown Derby once, and I liked it, but it's very pricey and a little too fancy of food for the rest of my family. (plus it's 2 credits on the DDP). Mama was okay when we went - slow but tasty. I haven't tried Sci Fi, so that's on my agenda for our next trip.

I hope you get some good food at the Star Wars meal. That should be fun!

I agree with the others - try to hit RnR first when the line's not too bad. Do you guys ride single rider? That might help if it's open then. Dang tiers. the DHS one won't bother me too much - I don't do RnR or TOT. But Epcot will be a problem. Soarin and TT are my faces!

Another similar day in our plans. Good minds must think alike!!

We will be at DHS Thursday too! We always love seeing at least one AI show...hopefully we are at the one Hunter is in! (maybe I will have to PM you my info so you can let me know).

We actually love Mama Melrose so we have lunch planned here. And my "newest" ADR is the H&V Fantasmic package too! We aren't SW fans at all but I have a weakness for the classic characters in costume. :) I am still deciding if it is worth the price tag (we don't have the DDP). And Yay! you for pulling off a second surprise!!

Not trying to hijack your PTR with my pictures :rotfl: but I figured I would share my lunch from BOG so you could see it.

Underneath the meat and veggies in the photo is mashed potatoes. It was really good!!!

Hope you have a great day!

I have to agree with your thoughts about skipping Star Wars Weekend. We were there last year and although it was fun it was waaay too crowded for me!:crowded: However, a Star Wars character meal :chewy: sounds awesome and my family is very jealous! And good luck to Hunter in the AI Experience! What fun!

Lisa, I love your Studios Day plans.

I was really surprised that Mary didn't decide to try to get a Star Wars character meal with the girls, but I think their Dad is more the fan than they are.

The good thing for our September trip is that Mark won't do Tower of Terror and I won't do Rock & Roll...so we get FP+s for both of us for both rides and then we get to ride our favorites twice.

We are doing Mama Melrose this year four reasons: 1) I've not done it since 2008; 2) we have done Sci Fi the last two girls trips; 3) I don't like H&V and 4) we are doing Fantasmic this year so wanted the package (praying that rain doesn't cancel us out...Mary and girls have NOT seen it)

I love Star Wars, but I'd probably skip HS during Star Wars weekends due to the crowds. I hate crowds more than I love Star Wars. :)

I agree about TS restaurants there. We've only ever eaten at the drive in place. Why can't I think of the name of it? We'd probably never eat at 50's Primetime, because DH and I used to work at a place like that and have had enough for the rest of our lives. I haven't heard enough good things about Mama Melrose and The Brown Derby is 2 credits. My girls would probably like H&V, but they don't know it exists and I'm not going to tell them. :rotfl: Though with the Star Wars characters, I might change my mind!

Looks like you have a fun day planned! I'd be frustrated with the tiering for FP+ too. That really stinks that they did that.

And whoever posted those pictures of Ralph and Vanellope (DznyPrnces I think?) I LOVE them. YOu can't meet them anymore, can you. I love that movie.

Yay for Star Wars Dining and the Dessert Party!:yay::yay: We too were planning on avoiding SWW, but got sucked in with the promise of dining with Jedi Mickey and the adorable Ewoks Chip and Dale!!

When we changed our trip from August to June we lost our Dessert Party and they are completely booked for our week! I am still trying back every day, I would love to surprise DH with it! Although I am the WORLD'S WORST at keeping secrets and I spill within a day!:mic:

Sounds like a fun "off" day. Your boss sounds like my friends boss. They come in late and leave early more than they are there. :) I guess that's a perk to being boss. The tiers really do stink, at DHS and Epcot too. Just had a thought..... Since your FP+ for TOT runs till 10:05, why not jump on RNR first then do TOT? That way the line wouldn't be too bad maybe?? Can't wait to hear more!!

He always comes in late and leaves by 4:00 p.m. but then fusses when he has to take home things to work on. Well, buddy, get to work like a normal folk and you could get stuff accomplished. Oh well, at least when he's not here, I can get my work done.

I thought about that too! If we aren't lagging behind a bit, then that's probably what we'll do.

About your RNRC and TOT rides, if the park opens at 9 I would ride RNRC first at rope drop, then go to your FP+ at TOT. I would think the line for RNRC would be shorter that way.

How sneaky of you to have two surprises on back to back days!! He will love that dinner!!

My only problem is getting everybody out the door by park opening. John sometimes drags butt. :rotfl:

Your HS day sounds great. The TS choices at HS are not great I agree. I think I've had an ADR at every restaurant because I couldn't make up my mind. Everything changed when Doc and Sophia came to H&V. I know my girls would love to meet the characters so I booked it. I had said that was the one place I would not eat at. Oh well I guess I'll be eating some crow while there. I can't wait to here about the Star Wars dinner. It took everything I had in me not to book one. Maybe I'll get to do a Star Wars weekend when the my kids are older, I'm not fighting that crowd with little ones that don't care about it.

I will surely stop and say hey if I spot you at the dessert party.

Hollywood and Vine has never been on our radar either but when the Star Wars meal came out, I knew that I should book it.

I don't care one little bitty bit about Star Wars anything but Hunter likes it so I endured it in the past.

I've been feeling exactly the same way about our BOG FP+ lunch... What's making me lean toward keeping it is the fact that I just wanna get in that place! For me, it's always about the photo op. That's me! I want to see the inside of the restaurant but I don't want to have another deadline to get to. Mine is on the 27th too! I think that it's around 1:00. I'll have to go look at my itinerary.

Oh my word! Those precious pictures were just what I was needing right about now. Work was getting to me so I needed a smile. Now see...when people tell me that my kids aren't going to remember their early trips to Disney, pictures like that are what make me say "But I'll remember their first trips to Disney!"

I'm not so good at surprises when at home but I can sometimes slip them in during Disney trips.

Be aware that Sci-Fi is about at meh as the rest of the TS restaurant. It's mostly about the atmosphere. If you stick with burgers, you should be okay.

If I can get Hunter and John out the door on time, we will probably ride RnR first and then ToT. Hunter is a scaredy cat when it comes to both of them so I know that he wouldn't do single rider....he'd take the chicken exit. :rotfl:

Wow! We really are thinking alike when it comes to our park plans.

We have had some good meals at Mama Melrose's before but this last time our waitress was a snothead. Didn't like her at all.

What time is your H&V ADR?

Not trying to hijack your PTR with my pictures :rotfl: but I figured I would share my lunch from BOG so you could see it.

Underneath the meat and veggies in the photo is mashed potatoes. It was really good!!!

Girl, you know I don't think anything about anybody hijacking my threads. I enjoy looking and hearing about other's plans and especially pictures.

The food looks good!

I'm really enjoying your PTR. I love all the surprises! Sent you a PM, so make sure you check for it.

How did I miss Subbing? I knew you had a trip coming up!! (I'm here now, though)

See, that SW character dining may get us to Disney when we swore we'd never go. The rest is a lot of crowds, etc, but the chance to eat with a SW character is something DH & I would love (we're some fans here!)

I eagerly await your experiences to see if it would be worth a flying trip - or maybe work one in for 2015.

Those were my pictures :). I honestly don't know if Wreck it Ralph is still meeting there. I keep up with the information at Disneyland because we go there more frequently. The trip to WDW just fell into my lap last year.

Now see...when people tell me that my kids aren't going to remember their early trips to Disney, pictures like that are what make me say "But I'll remember their first trips to Disney!"

I agree 100%! My daughter is 5 and has been averaging Disneyland twice a year since she was 3 months old, which I think is pretty good considering we live in Colorado. Unfortunately my husband kind of feels that way, and he's also not really a Disney fan. He's only been to Disneyland with our daughter twice I think, and once with our son. Disney World will probably be a one time trip for us as a family (my husband didn't go last year, I went with my mother and sister in law, as that trip kind of fell into my lap) so he wants to wait until our son is 5 or 6. But I'm not opposed to taking trips with just the kids and I. I grew up going to Disneyland (I lived about 30 minutes away) and I'm bound and determined my kids will do the same! Lol

Your "off" day looks great. One of Elizabeth's (DD) favorite meals last trip was the Teriyaki-style New York Strip. We both had it and it was great. Can't wait to hear how the dessert party! It sounds like fun, but like your family not sure we would eat enough for the cost.
I can't wait for Hunter's surprise meal. Sounds like a great trip. Only 28 more days or so!

I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WHO CHANGES THEIR ADR'S AS MUCH AS I DO!! :crazy2: At least your trip is coming up pretty soon... ours isn't until September and I've already switched things around about 40 times.

Hey there! Saw that you and the school kids were in Universal. Looks like ya'll had a blast.

We had such a wonderful time! Universal is different from Disney but fun in its own way. I want to get Keith and Chris there one day to get their take on it. I can't wait to see how you change your plans regarding FPP with the latest announcement...because I know the wheels are turning in your brain now!! :rotfl:
