I have been through every menu on Allearsnet and have looked at all the desserts and not once did I see carrot cake mentioned.

All the desserts that were offered to the adults didn't real please to me. But the ones on the kid's menu sure did. LOL!!! :rotfl: If only to be a kid again!!! :)

Isn't carrot a cake considered a vegetable? :rotfl2:

I had the best carrot cake at the Main Street Bakery in 2002. I hope they still have it!

Just back -

Had carrot cake in small plastic cup with frosting on top from
Cosmic Rays last Friday :) took it back to the pool and ate it
while DD played. I ordered it because it was on the dining plan.
DD got the sugar free brownie which I ended up eating!

Bakery in the food court at POR had it. Not bad. Ordered some at Tusker House in AK. It was fantastic!! Chef Mickeys has it. It was okay.

Had some last week at SSR - it was ok, not too great, but I wasn't really looking for it - I was on a mission for lemon mereingue pie, Walt's favourite, but couldn't find any....

One of us had carrot cake at the Pepper Market back in November. Most of the food courts have a dessert selection, so check with them.

I think they had it at the dessert bar at Crystal Palace this past January. Anyone else remember seeing it? I didn't try it so I can't tell you if it was good or not. I needed a chocolate fix that night!

Also, feel free to order your dessert off of the child's menu. No one will bat an eye!

If you are going to other parks besides WDW, Busch Gardens has what I consider to be the best carrot cake I ever had in the Bakery in Morrocco.

Thanks everyone!!!

Sometimes I am surprised when at resturants they have all these "fancy" desserts, but can't make a simple chocolate cake anymore. Or have just carrot cake. LOL!!!!

I haven't had a good carrot cake in such a long time. Last time was over 8 years ago before DS was born and DH and I were with a car club we belonged to for a Christmas dinner. Since then I have had some carrot cake, but it has had coconut in it or in the frosting. YUCK!!!! Is this normal for coconut to be on or in carrot cake?

Thanks again!!

I've never heard of it, but I'd be offended too. The only thing worse than coconut in your carrot cake is olives on your eggs benedict.

I love carrot cake and make it all of the time for my family gatherings. I put coconut in it. I got the recipe from a Southern cookbook. Not Southern Living, but something close.
The Olive Garden used to have carrot cheese cake. It was to die for. But, alas, no more. I must have a piece of the red velvet cheese cake at WDW to make up for it.

Saw some carrot cake at Chef Mickey's yesterday!!

Just curious - did you see lemon mereingue pie at Chef Mickey's? Apparently it was Walt's favourite but I couldn't find any place last week that served it!
