Does your Tow Vehicle have a name?

Mother-in-law
wide in the hips (double axle), a little aged, has carried her brood well, guzzles the "good stuff" like a champ, and strong as an ox!

Yep! Necessary! Just kidding but after going to the fort for three weeks recently and not taking a tow car on the back of our Motor Home I can tell you we sure missed it!

GMC 3500 Sierra SLT, diesel dually, 4x4, crew cab, extended bed, nick named simply the ( BAT ) truck, which is short for Yep you guessed it BIG A## TRUCK

So you drive one of those Land Yachts. Nice.

Funny I just traded and purchased a 2012 Fort F250 Fx4 with offroad package. It's black, so now I gotta think of a new name...

Never heard of Fort trucks... Is that something that WDW imagineers created in the shops on the WDW property?

I got a 2011 F250 CCSB, I love it for the long rides with the trailer in tow. The Fx4 off road package is just a fancy sticker. Ditch the stock rancho shocks for a set of Bilstein HDs or real Ranchos not the OEM white painted shocks. Good luck with the new ride.

back on topic, I don't have a name for my truck. The GPS gets "yes dear". 2 birds one stone ;)

Yea Tiggerdad, you might be on to something with that Fort pick up, but based on the prices of pins, shirts, beer and other things they sell at the Settlement, I bet you paid a pretty penny for that truck. :rotfl2:

Not to get :offtopic: but you oughta go ahead and void that warranty and get you a Spartan tuner, best investment I made for my truck.

Big white Chevy 3500 Dually, my kids have named it "Marshmallow" after, you guessed it, the snow monster in Frozen. They also call our fifth wheel the Wandering Oaken.

:offtopic: (sorry) Didn't catch that until the two of you pointed it out, but it actually looks pretty good, so I'm gonna leave it posted :goodvibes

The previous owner already ditched the OEM shocks and real Ranchos are already in place...along with the secondary fuel pump and filter for the auxillary tank to go in the back. All I gotta do is put in the new tank, everything else including pump switch are already in place. :thumbsup2

Tiger, 6.2 or 6.7? The 6.2 has a 35 gallon tank all configurations. The 6.7 will have 26 on a CCSB and (pretty sure on the Supercab short beds too) or a 35 gallon tank in the CCLB. However, some times have the aux tank for long runs in either diesel or gas. GL with the new truck.

Tigger,

Congrats on the new truck. I have a 2011 F350 Lariat, dually, crewcab, long bed. First year of the new 6.7 diesel. Love it. Had an 08 F250 CCSB with the old 6.2 diesel. It had good power, but the fuel mileage was horrible. This 6.7 makes as much power as my old 02 with the 7.3 diesel and $3000 worth of mods. It's also wider, taller, longer and 1000 lbs heavier and gets the same mileage as my old beloved 02.

My short bed 08 only had a 27 gallon tank. That sucked when you were only getting 12 mpg around town and 8.5 towing. I literally stopped every 200 miles towing. My 2011 has a 37.5 gallon tank with the long bed and I have a 60 gallon, gravity feed auxiliary tank in the bed. 97 gallons of fuel at 9-10 mpg towing makes for a nice cross country tow. I can almost make it to the Fort without stopping.

Our Ram 2500 Megacab is named Clyde, short for Clydesdale since it is supposed to be a workhorse. However, since my camper is named Cousin Eddie my buddy told me I should rename the truck Clark since he drags Cousin Eddies broke a$$ all over creation and puts up with him in all the vacation movies.

6.7 liter and the auxillary pump and filter are already in place, just need to put in the auxillary tank. Thinking of a Fuelbox maybe...

I believe mine is the 26 gallon tank. My 2003 F250 was only about 200 miles per tank on towing my camper but got like 12 MPG towing, not sure if I will get that with this truck as the 2003 was a 2WD and lower to the ground.
