Does your significant other compliment you often?

Was visiting a friend today and noticed her hubby constantly complimenting her and it was actually sincere! Not only did he compliment but he noticed she had changed her nail polish color, so he obviously is also very tuned in! Just thought it was really cute and sweet!!

Hahaha! I think its just more natural to some than others! My parents are both very complimentary...but my first husband never gave a compliment the whole time we where married!

All the time. When I am dressed in the morning or to go out he always makes a comment about how good I look.

Here's a funny though. One day after some major, major surgery I had wet hair, no makeup and had put on a tshirt and yoga pants. He looked at me and said his usually "You look really......" Then he stumbled (he doesn't lie) and finally got out "comfortable". I still had abdominal drains and was in pain so there was nothing "beautiful" about me that day.

He does and me too. I'm big on compliments, if something nice crosses my mind I say it out loud and not just for DH and the kids but everyone. Today I told the cashier at the store her lipstick was a nice shade for her. Compliments don't cost a thing so why not make someone else's day better... spread the good vibes

My DH compliments me every day. He'll often tell me the house looks nice and thanks me for keeping it nice. Then he always comments on how great I look, pretty etc. I am NOT pretty and I am at least 40 lbs overweight, but I guess he sees me through rose colored glasses. He also calls me from work every day just to tell me he loves me. He's sweet. Celebrated our 25th anniversary last year.

Yep, DH compliments me constantly. He notices the nail polish thing, the new haircut, outfit, etc. But most of his compliments revolve around... well... um, T & A?

One of the best ones though is on the VERY rare days that I don't wear make-up (I always wear full make-up -- even to the gym & I'm sick -- but since having a kid & becoming a SAHM, I do go au natural occasionally). He always says how he thinks I look hotter w/o make-up. It's kind of nice since I think I look like a withered old man without make-up on, lol.

If we're being honest though, I have a really hard time returning the favor. It's just not in my nature... it's not that I don't think he's attractive or don't have things to compliment him on, I just never think that he might appreciate me spitting out the words.

Other men compliment me often (in a nice way) and while that is fine, I'd rather hear it from DH. I've been with him half my life and it just isn't going to happen. :/
