Does your school take a Fall Break?

We are planning a trip to WDW in October, during our daughter's fall break from school. Our son attends a private school and does not get a fall break, so to speak. He does get a couple long weekends in Sept. and Oct., but not a week long break.

Our Fall Break is from Oct. 9th - Oct. 17th.

Anyone else?

Nope, no fall break for us. We get a few long weekends spread out across the months. Wish we did though. I can use all the breaks I can get.

yes we get out oct 28,29 so we are going to Florida since DH doesn't get a vacation this summer. I know that the universal hotels are about all booked for the week we are going to be there, but I am not sure about Disney

No all break here in Livonia, Michigan. We do get a 4 day weekend for President's Day in Feb this year!

Don't know llebrekniT , but Grant has already asked about going along. Nope, not happening. Still THINKING about Christmas though.

Hmm, nope we don't. But you guys down there don't get February break, like us, do you? I know my cousins in Maryland don't.

We don't get a fall break here, but we do get a mid-winter break.(The week of President's day)

Nope my college doesn't have a fall break, but then again we do start around September 29th!

Yep, here in Chattanooga we got one week off last year, and this year we get Oct 7-17 (11 WHOLE DAYS!) off. I just hope they do that again in 2005, b/c I've planned our WDW trip for that time frame. Of course, we're starting school on Aug. 9, but that's fine with me, if we're able to take vacations in October.

We Do! I love it. We get an entire week off in October. Of course, in order to get that week we start in early August.

We do to! WDW is nice that time of year. Because of many getting Fall Breaks now, it is busy but it wasn't as busy in Oct. as was the last week of May this year. Horrid! I'd never go back that week!

We also get a break in Feb. Before President's Day though. Used to be then but this year is switched Hooray! because President's day week is very busy in WDW.

Our school district has 3 days off is mid-October for a state teachers convention. It's usually the W-Th-F of the 3rd full week in Oct.

It's weird because we start first part of September and already get a break in Oct. But then after Xmas and Spring Break, there are no breaks from April until we get out in early June.

School starts here on Monday, September 13. Then the kids are out Thursday and Friday September 16 and 17 for Rosh Hashanah.

We get so many days out during the year that if we had a fall break, the school year wouldn't end until July.

Next year the last day of school isn't until June 28.

Nope, they like to have us in school rather than trying to hide from the leaf peepers. That's foliage season. We get a week off at the end of February and the end of April instead.

Hmmm, doesn't sound like too many people get a Fall Break.

Why then has October become a "regular" season?

And I see that in 2005 Regular season goes through November.

They have a Thanksgiving Break, but not a Fall Break.

No fall breaks here. However, DH is taking a fall break (aka vacation) so we will me at WDW in October! Yipee!
