The only Fall one up here in the Northeast is the Thanksgiving Break in November. We get Columbus Day off and Vetrans Day. Schools also start anywhere from Aug29th to Sept 6th.. silly for them to give us a break in Oct.

No Fall break here and we start mid-August. We get a day here and there for teacher conferences or teacher work day but I know my SIL said Dallas schools get out for several days for the state fair, etc. That's why I'm pulling DD out of school this year, I want to enjoy low crowds!

We get a long weekend in October every year. The teachers have one of the days as a teacher workday, and then everyone has a three day weekend. So we could go to WDW on a Thursday after school (assuming flights worked out!) and leave late Monday to be in school on Tuesday. We usually don't try to go to WDW during this time because we like to stay a week or so. But it's great for a weekend trip to NYC or just to stay at home and relax.

Usually this is in mid-October, the 14th through the 17th or so, depending on when the weekend falls.

No fall break the kids get off Columbus day in October and Veteran's Day in November , this year Halloween also happens to be a teacher work day.

No fall break here either. My kids start the 4th week of August and they get Labor Day, Veterans day and a week at Thanksgiving. But we get lots of minium days and such.

We are pulling our kids out also. I know teachers hate it but I have been doing it with my daughter for years and as long as I keep it down to one week a year she does just fine.

Our break is from Oct 10 to 17. St Charles Missouri.

Our elementary schools go year round/cycles. Started mid July
Middle school and HS start Aug 15.
The district got smart and scheduled a break So all the schools will be off for a week, thus not having parents taking kids out for "vacations"

Yup, our kids are out the week of Sept 12, believe it or not, then a long thanksgiving break. Of course, they have been back in school for a week now though.

We started school last Tues, and Fall Break is the first week of Oct. Also get a couple days at Thanksgiving and Vets day.

No fall breaks here. My son starts school August 22 and his first big break will be Thanksgiving. We're pulling him out of school for a week in Oct. for our 1st Disney trip.

Fall break is the week of October 24. The kids in our district always get one week in the fall & one week in the spring off. I swear it's financed by the travel industry (many, many people travel both times.) We're in the Cherry Creek School District in suburban Denver.

No fall breaks here in NJ. We have 2-3 days off in the begining of November for teacher conferences and then days off here and there for holidays. Although, last year with election day falling on the same week as teacher conferences, they decided to move Veterans Day up one week and give the kids a week off. That was rare. We have a week off for Christmas then we have another week off in April for Spring break.

We do have a fall break, but this is our last one. They will be taking it out of the schedule next year. We take the first week in October. This is when we are going to Disney. We are in East Tennessee.

Upstate New York, near Saratoga Springs. The kids get a 4 day weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon) for Veterans Day and 5 days (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun) for Thanksgiving.

We live in Middle Tennessee and our school district is year round. We get two weeks off in Oct. During the middle of Oct. for fall break. I have a lot of friends that are planning a disney trip during one of those breaks. We also get two weeks off in the spring for spring break.

Some districts get the Jewish holidays off when they fall on a school night...and some districts get election day off when there is an election...but I wouldn't really call that a 'fall break.' Everyone I know of also gets a three day weekend for Labor Day.

Our fall break is October 3-7 this year. We are in East Tennessee also. We don't have children, but I work in the school system, so fall break is usually a vacation time for us. We had planned to go to WDW (especially with the free dining), but our school still has football games that week (I coach the cheerleaders), so it's off to a football game instead of WDW!
