Hello everyone. We've planned a trip to DL on Oct.3&4. My dd just started kindergarten and when I looked over her school calendar I found out she had a fall break from oct.2-6. I was really happy b/c now I won't have to worry about taking her out of school for the trip. Does anyone else have a fall break? Does this mean it will be more crowded then? We live in Santa Clarita, Ca(we are not part of LAUSD but Saugus Union School District) and I grew up in the L.A.U.S.D. schools and we never had a fall break. Just curious about everyone else.

Yes, ours is on October 12-13. That is when we are paying a visit to Mickey Mouse too.

The schools where I live don't have it (that would be southwestern Riverside County).

We were there last year from Oct 13-17th and it was PACKED. A girl in line told me that she was out of school on "Columbus WEEK"!That first weekend in Oct is also the CHOC Walk & Gay Days, so that will bring more people into the park too.

I grew up in LAUSD also and I never had one either. I now live in Northern California and the schools here don't have one either.

We are in a suburb outside Omaha and are going to be in Disneyland during our Fall Break the week of Oct 16 - 21. :Pinkbounc  :bounce: :dancer:

Holidays that government agencies, some k-12 schools, some colleges, and some univeristies have off:

Monday 9/4 (Labor Day)

CA admission's Day is 9/9 - not often given as a holiday anymore but some places still do - that means the holiday would be on 9/8 (but shouldn't be a major travel weekend)

Monday 10/9 (Columbus Day)

Friday 11/10 (for Veteran's Day)

Thurs/Fri 11/23 -11/24 - some places also have Wed 11/22 off - next year this could change as our university is thinking about giving the whole week off next year as are others (so the total days for Thanksgiving may vary)

Then depending on the school - Winter break periods start early December and run thru the end of January or beg of Feb.

All bets are off for year around schools - I don't know those schedules - they would have kids off for bigger chunks
